Engagement ring repairs

Hi Ladies --

Stupidly, I never got around to putting insurance on my engagement ring and I just noticed one of the diamonds from the accents is missing :( Does anyone know usually how much that costs out of pocket to replace? I know it'll depend on the diamonds size, quality, etc. but I'm pretty clueless about this stuff so I just want a range of what I can expect to pay (and then immediately get it appraised and insured!)

It really depends on the diamond. To actually put it in is going to be negligible. I would try going to tri county to see some quotes there because a bunch of places can repair. This will at the very least give you some quotes to make sure you arent being ripped off at the place you may have in mind now to get it fixed at.

I would try to go back to where your fiancé purchased the ring first. I have no idea on prices, but they may be able to help more than a jeweler that hasn't worked on the ring at all.

I had that happen to me. We had already had it insured but I didn't think it was worth going through so I brought it in to the place where my fiancé got it (H.L. Gross) and they replaced it...no charge!
