FH insured the ring before he gave it to me. My insurance is through jewelers mutual.

THIS! My ring is also insured through Jeweler's Mutual. I think I will continue to insure it because the thought of losing my ring or having it stolen makes my stomach turn. I'm a very nervous person so having the coverage just makes me feel better!
