Our first date wasn't technically a date. FH and I first met when he was 15 and i was 16. At the time i just thought he was absolutely adorable. He was my best friends nephew's best friend.. (long one lol) I used to see him constantly. Finally he asked me to go to his baseball game, about two years later. We were together for about 2 years and broke up.

I stood in contact with his brother as we were always close. About 8 years ago his brother contacted me saying he was going through issues with his girlfriend and they had broken up. It took me about a year to contact him and when i finally did he asked me out on a date. This time we actually went out to dinner, nothing fancy just a diner. But sitting there talking to him every single emotion came back and i knew that he would be the man i marry. :)

Here we are today getting married in September!! :) Soo excited!!

I could definately use a DOC unfortunately with our budget we are just not able to get one. Getting a DOC would be a dream come true!! Being able to relax and enjoy the wedding knowing everything would go smoothly would be amazing!!

Our first date was back in the summer of 2001 when we first met working at a summer job. We were teenagers and neither of us drove yet, so we walked around town talking. He made me laugh the whole time and he still makes me laugh to this day.

We would loooooove to have a DOC. I'm doing lots of DIY decorations that I really need someone in charge of making sure they go in the right place. I don't want me or one of my BMs having to worry about this.

Our first date was at a very romantic restaurant called 'Absolutely Marios' in Farmingdale. I loved it, they even had an accordion player, just like in 'Lady and the Tramp'

The wedding coordinator would be so awesome...this is a second wedding for both of us. We both did the big over the top weddings for our first weddings, and we were both the ones who did most of the planning for our respective weddings. We are trying to keep it simple this time, but we do have a lot of ideas in our heads...would be nice to have someone to put our ideas to life.

I also didn't have a traditional first date with FH. Ten years ago, we worked together and were both in relationships. We lost touch when I moved out of state. When I moved back, I started working at the same job with him again and it turned out we were both single. Our first 'date' was last minute. We met at Applebees and just talked. Then, we spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach. After that we were inseperable.

Winning a DOC would be wonderful because we really want one, but it doesn't fit in our budget. I'm the first one of my friends to get married and an only child. My mom and BMs have helpful, but I still feel like I'm kind of stumbling my way through planning. I've 'pinned' a lot of ideas on pintrest, but haven't been able to quite turn them into a reality.

Our very first date was drinks after work just to meet since we had emailed before on match.com. It was quick, but I felt so comfortable right away. He asked me out again right then, so our real first date was dinner. He picked a sweet Italian restaurant near union square and teased him for ordering steak at an Italian place. He later told me it's because he couldn't understand anything on the menu and didn't want to embarass himself, haha. The conversation was so easy and we got along so well right from the start. After dinner we went and had drinks but I was so nervous my stomach was full so we just talked. The night lasted 6 hours! We've been inseperable ever since.

I would really love to have a DOC just to help make the day go as smooth as possible. I have an amazing bridal party who I know will be helpful, but I also want them to enjoy themselves during the day! It would just be a huge weight off my shoulders if I left my day in a professional's capable hands.

fiance and i met online on a webside that is call plenty of fish.com our 1 day was amazing he pick me up in astoria and then we drove long island city to a latin fusion restaurant call blend we had an amazing dinner and then after that we went to the little pier to just have a walk it was a beautiful night of september full moom and was a little chilly so he saw i was getting cold and since he didnt have a jacket he put his arm around me and then looked into my eyes and kiss me and from that second i knew i found that person that i wanna spend the rest of my life with, it was just a perfect night infront of nyc skylight and under a full moon.in this same place he proposed. i will love love to win this contest my planning is been stressfull and i have to do everything bymyself and ofcourse my fh since all my family lives in colombia, i just wish that the day of i can enjoyed and b stress free

Our first date was suppose to be a quick bite to eat and we ended up eating dinner for two hours. Then going somewhere else for drinks and when they closed sat outside for another 3 hours talking and laughing like we were old friends. We have been inseparable ever since.

I would love a DOC because besides being a neurotic mess on a normal day between us we have five kids and three jobs and are always so busy taking care of everyone else we never get to enjoy most things. I want to be able to enjoy every second of this day because not only have I been waiting for my wedding my whole but my grandma thought she would die before I agreed to walk down an aisle!!LOL

We don't have an 'official' first date that we recall. We went to high school together and although FH was 1 grade younger than me we had many of the same friends so we were always together. We were friends first but then realized there was something more. The rest is history! Technically ancient history since that was almost 12 years ago!!

A DOC would mean peace of mind for FH and I (mostly me, lol). I have tons of vendors I am coordinating while living out of state, and quite a few DIY projects that will need proper day-of setup. One of my biggest stresses is who is going to be in charge of that and how will I get everything just how I picture it. The answer of course is a DOC but unfortunately its not in the budget for us!

My first official date with my fiance' was the day after Thanksgiving. I had work in the morning, which btw, I crashed my car into the fence at work because I was so distracted by the date planned later that evening. I was freaking out! It's so funny because the blue paint from my car is still on the fence! (first time my fiance' visited me at work, I totally showed him the fence!)
Anyway, I was literally freaking out and I was to meet him at a coffee place--on my way there, I was literally having an anxiety attack. My friend was on the phone with me trying to calm me down. I didn't think I was going to be able to go through with the date!
I DID make it and when I walked in, I was immediately relaxed by him... he made me laugh lots and conversation never stopped. We had made plans to go to a game night where a bunch of mutual friends would be at (which of course freaked me out because what if they thought we were a couple now? and what if I didn't like them? they'd be asking us all of these questions if we never hung out again, etc. AKA I over think A LOT haha)
I declined his offer to drive together because I wanted a way to get away if I needed to .
So we go to the game night and have an awesome time... we were there until about 4:30/5 AM.
The next day, I freaked out again saying I didn't think I was ready.
Something in me told me that he could be 'THE ONE' and that scared me! No one had ever made me this freaked out, yet completely comfortable and there was just something about him where I saw myself with him for a long time. He wasn't going to let me just go away, so he gave me a few days and finally I came to my senses and realized I wanted him to be my boyfriend... and now here we are!

I would love a DOC because I have a TON of DIY projects that I have already finished and I would love to be able to have someone take the worry off of me making sure that every thing is where it should be and how I would like for it to look/be set up! Basically, please take my stress off of me!

My Fiance and I were matched up on two different dating websites(meant to be I think!!) haha OUR first date was simple...a standard dinner and a movie. What was the most impressive part about it was...I had no sense of direction to get home from the movie after, so My fiance had me follow him ( about 20 minutes way out of his way) almost all the way back to where I lived just so that he knew I would be safe getting home.

A Day of Coordinator would be EVERYTHING that we would need on the day of. Both my fiance and I have been so busy taking care of our elderly parents who have been ill, the amount of stress we have been under has been a little much at times. We are paying for our entire wedding ourselves, making our budget tight and cannot afford the added expense. To have Above and Beyond Events take the stress out of that day so that we could enjoy it to it's fullest with our family, without having to run around like we do on a daily basis, would be a dream come true.

Our first date was on Thanksgiving Day! We had met the night before through a mutual friend and really hit it off. He asked if he could take me out, and I was hesitant because I had family plans. He was patient with me and kept checking in to see if I could make it. He waited until 10:00 PM when I was finally free. Being that it was Thanksgiving nothing was open ....So we thought, a hotel bar has to be open considering there's so many out of towners! We went to the Marriott and sat near the bar and ended up only having one drink cause we were talking so much...We then sat in the car for another 4 hours talking. And now years later, from simple beginnings, we are getting married!

I would love to have a DOC because my wedding party and mom has already done so much for me. They know how detail oriented I am and want the day to be perfect for us. I would love to have them sit back and relax and not worry about running interference for me. So it would be great to have someone as a gift to them for all they have done and will do :)

I had my eye on FH for two years before I was able to snag him at his bday party! My best friend was going o utwith one of his friends and I begged to take me to his bday party. I proclaimed that FH was the love of my life he just didnt know it. Lol i was only 21 and quite foolish, little did I know that we would hit it of that night! We spent the night talking about music and flirting. The next week he took me to a fancy dinner and 10 years later would become engaged


We have been through so much together in the last 10 years from a devastating death and a new career for FH but I had lost hope that we would ever get marrried; therefore, i never payed attention or wanted to know how to plan a wedding. We originally started out wanting to have a destination but that fell through bc our fathers could not travel abroad due ton their health. Now that I have the opportunity to have my dream wedding I would love to a coordinator to help me!

FH and I were friends for about 5 years before our first date. He is a marine, and had just returned from his first tour in Iraq and I was home from college for the summer. Most of our friends were away for the summer, so the two of us had been spending a lot of time together. We decided to go to six flags, just the two of us, as friends. The whole day was very cute, he'd pay for admission, so I paid for parking. He paid for lunch, so I bought a snack. We had a blast on all of the roller coasters! At one point I was scared and grabbed his hand. Afterwards he made a joke, 'What do you think I am... your BOYFRIEND?' We returned to LI for dinner late that night, then he dropped me off at my house and kissed me! I'll never forget it! We stayed up all night talking and taking the time to get to know each other more than we ever had in the past 5 years. (Don't tell FH - but in the 10 years I've known him, that night was the only time I saw him cry!) He left to head back to his base in NC just a few days after - but the date was so amazing we decided to give a long distance relationship a shot. I'm so glad we did!

I'd love a DOC to help calm my nerves the day of. I am on a budget, so a lot of my decor is DIY. While many of my friends and family have offered to help out, I'd really love for them to JUST be a guest and enjoy the day. I'd be over the moon if I WON a DOC!

My fiance and I met on a Sunday in late August 2010 at the Boardy Barn, a popular bar/hangout out east. Billy was working at his usual post near the inside bar (he's a bouncer) and I was there celebrating a friend's birthday with some high school friends. The first thing I noticed was Billy's sleeve tattoo...I grabbed his arm and looked at all the intricate details and then looked up at him smiling and said 'Hi.' We talked for a while and traded stories about our tattoos, and at the end of the night we traded phone numbers. We talked on and off for a month and had our first date in late September. Billy took me to all of his favorite Fall spots on Eastern Long Island and introduced her to his favorite seasonal craft beers. They went pumpkin picking and ate fresh apple pie at a local farm stand. We brought my German Shepherd with us and he was so good with her. Later that night we went back to his house where he cooked me a delicious dinner, fettucine alfredo with shrimp, and we watched our favorite TV show, Sons of Anarchy, on his couch where we had our first kiss. Since then we've spent almost every single weekend together and have become absolute best friends.

I would love to have a DOC because, despite the fact that i've been involved in the planning of my 4 older sisters' weddings, I know that handling your wedding by yourself is a difficult task. As much as I love my bridesmaids (my sisters) they all have young children and I know it will be difficult for them to really help me do everything I need to do that day. I handle events in my job and I know that the best way to have an event go as smoothly as possible is to have someone not actually involved in it orchestrate it.

FH and I met online (okcupid). I was convinced I was never going to find the right guy, after dating a long string of losers. My friend convinced me to sign up for okcupid, and I figured why not. I signed up, and FH was the first guy who messaged me. Our first 'date' was at Starbucks-I was a little unsure about meeting someone in person who I had met online, so I figured coffee would be a good way to go. We hit it off, and we had our second date for dinner soon after.. the rest is history :) my friend wants to give us a toast at the wedding, because he says if it wasn't for him, we probably never would have met! (he may be right).

i would love to have a DOC to take away from some of the stress which I know is going to come on that day. I am getting married at a church, and I have a lot of stuff which I will need the RH to set up. I am nervous that it won't be done correctly, and having someone there would really help. Also, I don't want my mom and BMs to stress out. I want them all to feel like guests.

FH and I just met once before our first date so I was hesitant to meeting him for a one on one date. I met him at a Starbucks for some coffee and then we walked over to the local movie theatre. We saw a scary movie and all I could think about during the movie is that this guy is going to turn out to be some psycho. I would say a scary movie on the first date is not the way to go. Luckily, he turned out to be the nicest guy I ever met!!

I would love a DOC. I would love to know that I don't have to give little jobs, like making sure the tables are numbered correctly in the ballroom, to my family the day of my wedding and that they would be taken care of by someone else. I would really like my mother to enjoy the day as much as I would and not have to worry about these little details. A DOC would make the day so much easier.

FI and I met through a mutual friend on New Years Eve. I would consider our first date to be a night that we spent together at this mutual friend's house, just bonding and getting to know one another in the late night hours, discussing our goals for life and how we wished our lives were. We ended up having so much in common, that he and I hit it off and continued to date. Our first kiss happened that night

I think I could not only use a DOC but would be extremely grateful for one. I am very particular and a DOC would be my saving grace. Especially since, FI are paying for everything out of our own pockets and are doing our best to keep things at a reasonable price considering how large the families are!

Our first date was 11 1/2 years ago. We went to the movies and saw the Exorcist. We went out for coffee afterwards which was nice because we really got to know each other. We worked together and I had such a crush on him so our first date was so exciting. We have been together ever since and even 11 years later we still spend all the time together.

I am an out of state bride and I get very nervous about planning things so a doc would definitely make planning easier for me and especially less stressful. I can get very anxious if things are not happening as they should.

Our first date was hilarious. I held a contest amongst a bunch of people from my church to see who can have the longest streak of correct sports picks. Whoever had the longest streak in the end was to win a cup of coffee (I was a college student at the time and that was the best prize I could offer lol).

Unfortunately for me, he won the contest. I didn't know him well at the time, but I knew I thought he was pretentious and I couldn't even imagine us being friends. We went to a nearby coffee shop and ended up sitting there and talking until way after the place had closed. It was February and we had to go outside; he offered me his jacket while he sat there in a t-shirt. It was then I realized there was more to him than met the eye.. and the rest was history!

Having a DOC would be a saving grace for me. I am planning the wedding in 77 days and from 9 hours away (I live in NC). It would be so helpful to have someone that could direct both my vendors and guests on where they need to go/be.
