Entrance Order Question

HI!
we are having a conversation... who enters the reception first? grooms parents or bride's parents? does it matter?

I know this is terrible----but i already forgot!

The place where u r getting married will guide u, don't worry. We got married at the RH and we met w/ them like 3 weeks before the wedding. They went over all the details, including the entrance order. My sis and bro both got married in churches and the priests told them the order too.

The Bride's mother should be seated last.

Re: Entrance Order Question

Here you go...for this online:

The Pre-Processional
As much as a half hour before the ceremony, the ushers should be seating guests in their proper seats. When it is time for the wedding ceremony to begin, the wedding officiant will enter through a side door, followed by the best man and then the groom. These three will stand at the front and face the guests.

It is at this point that ushers or groomsmen begin to escort members of the bridal party to their seats. Grandmothers of the brides should be escorted to their seats, followed by grandmothers of the groom. Then, the parents of the groom are escorted to their seats. Finally, a groomsman escorts the bride’s mother to her seat. Because tradition dictates the mother of the bride is the last to be seated of all the guests, the wedding can officially begin.

i don't know what you mean by this- seated where? my question is about the introductions to the reception- when the DJ announces everyone... who is announced first? does the groom's parent's enter first, or does the bride's parent's enter first? i'm having a discussion w/my parents and honestly, i never thought about it!!! and i can't remember from weddings i have been to!

Oh! I thought you meant the CHURCH! Sorry!

I believe it's the parents of the bride that are announced first. Then, its the groom's parents...followed by wedding party. However, I don't think it needs to be as formal at the reception. You can do it whatever you way you want!
