How soon before the wedding did you do yours??
--We had ours this past sunday 18 months before the wedding.

Do you have to buy gifts for the guest??
--We gave out engagement ring cookies (on my album)

Do you have to have a registry??
--Nope. We are registered but we did not tell anyone...it is listed on our website.

If so do you put where you are registered into the invite??
--I read in many sites that you don't!!

Is it possible to have it by Sept of this year??
--absolutely! I booked the restaurant 3 months ago..and prepared everything (decorations, favors, invites) in about a month.

We got engaged Oct 07, had our e-party March 09

We had favors, satin bags filled with pink and white m&m's and hershey kisses

Do you have to have a registry??
No, but we were already registered before that

If so do you put where you are registered into the invite??
I wouldnt put it on the invite, people found the info by word of mouth

Definitely

Yes we had a registry, and No we did not put the cards in the invite - but we got a lot of gifts from the registry!!!!!!!!!

I think you have plenty of time to plan it by September, we did ours in 4 months - but could have done it quicker!!!!!!

Ours is 1 year before to the weekend.

Our favors are going to be Hershey's Hugs & Kissses with custom stickers on the bottom with our name and 'thank you' in some tulle (maybe?) and a little card that says 'Hugs and Kisses from the Future Mr. & Mrs.'

So far we have Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond, but we're also going to Williams-Sonoma. I just went to an e-party where they we're registered because they need money for the wedding more than anything!

I'm going to include 2 cards with my invite in the envelope: directions,a nd where we are registered.

Ours in Aug 29, 2009 and we haven't done much yet! But I plan on having the food booked by this weekend. Ours is in my parents backyard though.

We're having ours this july....so that makes it almost exactly 1 year
before the wedding.

Right now, we're thinking about a candy table set up so that ppl can fill
their own little boxes.

No, you do not HAVE to have a registry. We're not. In my family, that's
what a bridal shower is for. THATS when you get all ur registry gifts.

Whenever I've been invited to an engagment party, that info is NEVER
on the invite. I HAVE seen it, however, on bridal shower invites.

You can def do it by Sept! This is taking us like a month to get everything
together. We're having it in a family member's backyard so there's a lot
to do with the rental items and who's cooking what....etc. But I say, go for
it! You can def make it happen!

We're on a short timeline, it was moved several times because of someone's medical complications (among other things) so don't use us as a guide but ours was scheduled for 6 months before the wedding initially.

We did small favors.

We had registries already in place but most people didn't use them.

I agree with what I've seen other people write so far, never for the eparty, but always for the shower. There was a thread that talked about this recently, that it's one thing when someone throws you a 'surprise' shower with a card that tells someone where your gift preferences are, it's another thing when you flat out ask for things. So no, we didn't do that.

I think you can definitely do it by September! Ours was easy to plan!

1. We are doing ours 1 year and 4 months before the wedding.

2. Yes, we are def getting favors. Nothing crazy though. I saw some really cute stuff at Wedding Warehouse that is like under $1.00 each.

3. No, you don't have to. We aren't going to.

4. I would say no def not.

5. Yes! Of course! We planned ours in about 2.5 months, but one could certainly do it in less time.
