are you doing it at a place or at someones house? i bought favors for my eparty - i DID not register for the eparty since youll have a shower and get actual gifts for that. I planned mine in 3 months - its possible by september

How soon before the wedding did you do yours?? * I had mine in February. So a year and 4 months before the wedding.
Do you have to buy gifts for the guest?? * I did small favors. They were truffles in plastic jars. Pics in my e-party album.
Do you have to have a registry?? * You don't have to. We did because people were asking.
If so do you put where you are registered into the invite?? * I didn't put it on the invite. If guests knew it was by word of mouth.
Is it possible to have it by Sept of this year?? * I definitely think so. I planned mine in about 2 weeks.

Either at the hall right by my house cause its on the water(kinda) or maybe talk MIL into letting us have it at her house! they have a great back yard with a pool and swing set for the kids to play on!

you can really do the e-party anytime but i wouldn't do it less than 6 mths before the wedding. (Mine was in December so a year and 4 mths b4 the wedding)
gifts are not required but mostly everyone will give gifts. ---Sorry i thought you meant do the guest have to by you guests lol.....Favors aren't required... I just made chocolate lollipops (pics in album) so I had a little something to give out
some girls do registries but i personally did not want to. I felt that since gifts aren't required for an e-party that doing one would make the guests feel as though they are obligated to buy from the registry...jmo. You can do whatever is best for you

An eparty doesn't take TOO long to plan, you can definitely have it by September. You don't need to do favors, depends on how large tis party is, but it would be nice to do a little something. You don't need to register.. people will ask, but you can always just get money a sa gift. If you register, don't put any registry information in the invitation. It will pass by word of mouth.

We had our this past Sunday, almost 10 months before our wedding. I think people typically do them about a year or so before the wedding to leave enough space between the e-party and the actual wedding.
We did buy favors for everybody, but I don't think you have to. it depends on the kind of party you're having. Ours was a formal party so we did favors.
I know some people are registered before the e-party, but we didn't. We got almost all money gifts, except for one person who bought us some Lenox stuff. I don't know if people who registered include the registry cards with the invite.

Ours is in July 09 We will be married June 10 We are giving out favors. I work in my family candle business so we giving small candles-larger ones for wedding. You can do something small like chocolate lollipops. My sis did that We did register at bbb in case people ask but did not include it with invites. You totally could have it by sept. I would have invites out by end of July or beginning of Aug.

1) we had ours a few weeks ago. it was 7 months after we got engaged, and 14 months before the wedding. i feel as long as its not too close to the wedding you're fine
2) i don't think favors are required, but we chose to do a candy bar in leiu of favors-it was a big hit!
3) we registered, but i was really excited to do that-as for gifts from people, we really got a split between our registry and money/gift cards
4) do NOT put the registry info on the invite-we did however put our website on the invite, and the registry info was on the website. mostly it was word of mouth though
5) i think you'll have plenty of time to plan it by september

I want to do the candy bar at the wedding so I think if I do it at the e-party and then ppl see it at the wedding they will think thats weird!

I got invites from vistaprint. Actually got the idea from someone else on the l I w . They came out really nice and came fast. Http://www.vistaprint.com also party city prints them fast, I'm pretty sure

Do you have to have a registry?? --Nope. We received mostly cash & a couple of nice gifts --lennox picture frames, dance lessons (can't wait!!), photo albums, etc.

You can def plan it by then, we got engaged the end of april and we are haven’t ours Aug 1st and didnt even get the invites yet! lol We are going this weekend. I have never heard of someone registering for a EP before, that is supposed to be for your shower.

we are in the middle of planning ours right now for August 1!. We got engaged at the end of February and were debating on having one and then decided to have one in the summer. We are getting married next August. I think etiquite calls for no less then one year from your wedding date. september is def doable, plenty of time. we are doing favors- but i think i am going to try to have the favor double as a save the date. we are not registering, even though people were asking as soon as we got engaged. and if i did register i wouldnt put that on the invite. JMO
