Is everyone matching the color and clarity of the stone(s) in their engagement ring to the stones in their wedding band? Will it look different if you don't?

Re: Ering and wedding band question
My dad gave me his ring, and I'm using the diamonds in it, it's not the same as my e-ring but I'm sure its going to look fine

I matched it with my side stones, so they are the same color and all.

Re: Ering and wedding band question
From what I understand. . .
As long as they are close it won't matter. .. some stones are sig more yellow and that will show up but if you are in the range, it should be fine small dfferences you can only see under certain lights/magnification . . also diff cuts/size will just look slightly different anyway. .

Re: Ering and wedding band question
Good question. The diamonds in the band of my ring are kind of yellow. The center stone is very clear, but FH said that the band is a bad color. I would like to get a better quality wedding band, but I don't want it to look weird...

Yeah I'm just very worried about a dramatic change in color... I know fh went big budget when it came to color and clarity and I dont know if we absolutely NEED to spend that much on my wedding band.

I want to try and match it as close I can...depends how much the band will be since FH got me a good diamond for my e-ring.

Mine are not exactly the same but they are close enough that you dont see a difference. We got a sick deal that we couldnt refuse.

Re: Ering and wedding band question
Mine match...but the diamonds on my wedding band are much smaller then my e-ring. I want the e-ring to stand out, but not overpower...
fh got mine to all match my stones exactly...i guess its not necessary...unless theres a dramatic difference I am sure it isnt noticable to the eye

Yes, I had mine made to match the color and clarity. I figured since we were having it custom made that I may as well match both perfectly.

Re: Ering and wedding band question
That's a really good question! I don't have that issue as I'm not getting a wedding band to match my E-ring....I have a split shank E-ring and I am not sure wearing a wedding band with the E-ring would look so good on my finger..plus it would take away from the beauty of the E-ring.
Plus I just love the idea of having matching wedding bands...sort of like we are still together even when we are apart because we have the matching bands.

I never even thought of this! I swear I really feel like bad bride a lot of the time.
I guess I'm going to have to get my band to match the color/clarity of my e-ring stone. FH spent a fortune on the stone (it's a 'D' color) so any other diamond looks yellow next to it - even my 'good' diamond earrings.

I am! I think it's important so they match eachother.

Re: Ering and wedding band question
The jeweler we went to for my band made my eternity band to match my e-ring. You can just speak with the jeweler and they will match it for you

you have to have at least the same color because you can tell right away from looking at it the quailty difference

You're not a bad bride...it's just that the ladies on this site are VERY organized! Kudos to the liweddings brides-to-be!
