Estelles in Farmngdale
I've started to look at wedding dresses and was considering Estelle's and I was wondering if anyone has any personal experiences with them. I've looked on the website and there are some dresses that I like but how is the service there? Are they willing to work with prices? Do they take off a percentage if I get my BM dresses there also?I went to village bridal this past weekend and they were great but I did want to look at other places and try on more dresses before I make a decision!

I went there the first time I ever went to try on dresses since I know its pretty relaxed and I had no idea what kind of style looked good on me.What I didn't like with the lady I had was I tried on one dress and already she was acting like she knew what kind of dress I would like and put some dresses she didn't think I would like back on the rack. Also, I felt at other bridal salons they seemed more knowledgeable about the kinds of dresses they had. But this also could have been the person I had helping me at Estelles, she may not have been knowledgeable.

I didn't visit Estelles, but if you need a recommendation, I bought my dress and BM dresses at Max Bridal in Mineola. They were very knowledgeable and not pushy. They only take one bride at a time, since it's a smaller shop, which is nice. I loved my experience there. They discount BM dresses 10% if you get your gown there, but you can find it cheaper online.

I wen to Estelles first, so I didn't really know what I wanted. It was busy, and my mom and I kind of took care of ourselves, which I loved. There were brides there with attendants helping them, so Im sure if I had asked someone would have assisted, but you definitely dont get the 1 on 1 experience there you would at a smaller boutique. For me it was perfect because I just used them to try on a bunch of different styles and see what looked best on me.

Me and my engaged future sister in law both tried on dresses there. I like shopping on my own I know what I like and what I don't. So I brought a picture in of something I liked tried that on and got suggestions from the sales woman as well. She helped me into the dresses but most of the time I was on my own which I really liked. I went on a week day and it was just me and another woman trying on dresses. They didn't push me to buy anything and I was able to find the dress online $100 cheaper.

Yeah also be aware about their pricing. I tried on an Allure dress there and it was a few hundred more at Estelles than other bridal shops I went to

I went there as my first time looking for dresses and they were very nice, but some of the dresses I liked online, they did not have in store, and they didn't really know what they were talking about

They have a ton of dresses on their website, and I was looking for a specific style I liked so I wrote down the designers & style numbers and then called to see if they had them before I went and they didn't have them...so if there are specific ones you like maybe call before going there!

I had a great experience, my attendant was with me for about 2 hours. She had her hands full with me (anti-everything a wedding dress is supposed to be) and my mixed opinion crew. She handled us like a trooper, and managed to pull dresses that would meet the approval of us all.

My moms friends daughter recently used them and got her bridal dress there. I believe the price was cheaper but they tried to get her with the alteration costs. They were charging crazy high prices for a simple alteration, so they took the dress elsewhere.

I went there once I had already decided what type of dress I wanted and it wasn't terrible but not the same as going to any other bridal stores. The girl that helped me while she was very nice wasn't very knowledgeable I pulled all my own dresses and even had to have my mom and fmil clipping it for me. I do think its worth it to stop in there though as I did find they had some dresses that I couldn't find at other bridal stores.

I went there and no one even noticed I was there till about 20 minutes of pulling my own dresses with my sister. They then noticed and took my dresses to a room. Never once offered to help me with my style just left me to do my thing. Which I was fine with. Once in the room, the lady helped me differed. I had multiple people as they were all busy with other people. They never gave an opinion and didn't seem knowledgable at all. As for prices, they are much higher than other places. I highly suggest Helens Bridal in Commack. Ask for Ashley, she's great!!

I went to Estelles and I wasn't a big fan. At least not with their bridal department. I had made an appointment and I still had to wait. My mom has a walker and she was constantly asked to move while I was trying on dresses. The service was awful and the women are rather rude. I've bought gowns there before and never had that issue. It took me by surprise when the bridal section was so unorganized. Hope you have better luck.Welcome New Vendors
