I wanted the half initially because I thought that I would ruin the ones on the bottom. But ended up getting the full eternity band for a few reasons:
1. I liked the look of it soo much better 2. If I got the half, I would be twisting it to line up perfectly with my e-ring band all the time and it would get annoying 3. The diamonds were set in a little bit on the eternity band in a way that I knew the diamonds wouldn't get damaged and 4: our jeweler will replace any diamond at no extra cost should they get lost or damaged!

I absolutely agree with point 2 - I know i'm the type of person who will continually be fixing the band so the underside isn't showing!

i think it does have to do with preference, i decided on a 3/4 way with diamonds, it matched my engagement band, and also i heard that if you get an eternity band they have to completely redesign the ring if you need it re-sized, if you get a 3/4 way round, then you will have no problems with re-sizing in the future, once on your finger they basically look exactly the same except when your looking at your palm. Good luck deciding!

The price difference depends on the size and the quality of the diamonds that you use.

I would go and try on a bunch of rings to see what you like. Just like with you engagement ring, you think you know what you want and then you try on other things and like it better. I was dead set on an eternity band then found one that was more than half way around and it was as if it was made for my e-ring. (Totally different jeweler btw).
