etiquette?

etiquette?

So I have an etiquette question on walking down the aisle.

Here's the scenario: FH & I have his mom and dad, my grandmother, my dad, 1 best man, 1 MOH, 2 groomsmen, 1 bridesmaid, and 1 jr.bridesmaid (and obviously FH & me).

Clearly FH & best man will be at the alter already, and dad is walking me down the aisle. But beyond that, who walks whom?

TIA!

hmmm there are many options.. for the grandma you can always have a groomsman and then have him come back again (just escort her) or a cousin, uncle some other male that is important. (i am doing my godfather).

You can do the bridesmaid with both groomsman at once, or 1 Bm 1 GM 1 JRBM 1 GM and MOH by herself of course! His mom and dad together

Re: etiquette?

at my friends wedding her in-laws walked together. Her mom was walked down the aisle by one of the groomsmen (who then came back around the side to come and walk the BM down the aisle, then it was the bridesmaids and groomsmen and then her sisters(both MOH's) walked down the aisle one at a time. I think you could have 1 BM and 1 GM walk together and then 1 GM and the JrBM or just have the BM walk with the 2gms and have the jrbm walk by herself

I would have your FIL's walk together and have a groomsman walk your grandma then go to the alter with the other groomsmen and have the girls walk alone. I've never been walked into the church by a groomsman, only out.

FH's parents should walk together. You can have another relative walk your grandma down (a friend of mine had a cousin actually walk her mom down since only her dad walked with her). Best man is already there, MOH walks alone right before you do (they both walk back together though). Then the groomsmen and BM and JrBM should walk, just pair them by height (shortest BM and GM together) so when they are lined up at the altar it's in size order after the MOH/best man.
Alternatively you could have your grandma and dad walk you down.
Also you could have your bridal party walk alone, each GM and BM by themselves, then pair up on the way out.

Re: etiquette?

Here is how we are doing it:

- FH and Best Man will already be up in front
- My 2 grandmothers will be escorted down the aisle with my cousin
- My mother will be escorted down the aisle with my brother.
- BM #1, GM #1
- BM #2, GM #2
- BM #3, GM #3
- FG and 2 RBs
- Maid of Honor
- Matron of Honor
- Me and my Dad
