Etiquette question...
So.. I sent out my STD's about 3 weeks ago when everything was fine here at work.. Since than I have gotten nothing but grief with people I work with.. I have been going through some health issues the past 2 weeks and have taken some time off from work to go to DR appts and to have tests done. One of my co-workers who I WAS friends with on FB (have since defriended her) started spreading rumors that my health is fine and I'm taking the time off to plan my wedding when nothing could be further from the truth...My question to you all wonderful brides is.. If I sent them a STD, and now have no desire to have them at my wedding, do I have to still invite them?
Sorry this is so long winded but TIA!

Etiquette question...
Technically if you sent them a STD they should be invited. HOWEVER, I think if you guys stop talking/being friends when the time comes she would assume she isn't invited. BUT if you invite others from you job it may make things more awkward. I would think if you invited her and you guys dont like each other she wouldn't come. FOr example if me & you werent getting along and you sent me an invite i'd decline no because weddings aren't cheap and why would I spend all this money on someone I dont get along with? KWIM?Do that make sense? lol

I think you have to although if it sounds like she wouldn't come anyway.I mean if it really gets out of hand, I think you could make an exception.

Etiquette question...
Etiquette aside, if someone is being a jerk to you, who cares that you sent them a save the date? They'd be off my invite list, for sure!

Totally agree. You're supposed to invite everyone you send one to, but your coworker is supposed to not be a jerk. So I wouldn't if I was you.

Etiquette question...
It's your wedding. If you are no longer friends with her then do not invite her. If she starts trouble at work who knows what she could do at the wedding.

I wouldn't invite her. Have you confronted her about it? Maybe it's jealousy or she thought she was being funny and others took it seriously? I'd like to think it was a misunderstanding, but girls (ESP ones who aren't engaged/married and are jealous of someone who is) can be extremely catty and hurtful when they want to be. I'd hear her out before you make a decision.

I did confront her...she stuck to her theory... Also, she's in her 60's...not a child and should know better..

Oh wow. So then I wouldn't invite her. If she's in her 60s (an age at which you'd think she'd have better things to gossip about), she has no right to be upset anyway.
I work in a restaurant, and I am not inviting all the people i work with anyway. I like them all, but in 10 years, I won't be friends with all of them.
