What is the proper thing to do? We rec'd a 'NO' rsvp but they put in a check! Do we cash now and thank or wait till after the wedding and then send a thank you?
TIA

I agree, you could send the thank you now, I hate it when I write a check and someone doesn't cash it right away.

Re: Etiquette Question-RSVP NO, but sent check
Let me ask - is the check dated for today or the date of your wedding? If it's dated for today, send a thank you, wait a week or so, and then cash the check! If it's dated for the date of your wedding - then I guess you have to wait.
Most people (I think) hope that you will cash it when they send it. I hate it when people wait weeks and weeks to cash my checks.

Re: Etiquette Question-RSVP NO, but sent check
I would send a TY and then wait a week or 2 to cash it...this way they receive the TY first heheh I sent a check to my cousin for their wedding that I could not attend and never received a TY and that was 3 yrs ago! but they sure had no problem cashing it!!
