Stupid question...How does Etsy work... I am confused?
ETA: If I like something that is sold, can I contact the person to see if they can make more?

A lot of brides get items from this site for their wedding... I just registered and I am trying to figure it out! lol

Re: Etsy
I just placed my first order with AShley Nicole Designs for a unity candle and memorial candle. I emailed her asking what to do. She set up a custom order for me, I paid and we started on the customization. IT was pretty easy!

Re: Etsy
usually if its sold, it was made for someone else. they will probably make you the same thing if you want it.

i bought my earrings, hair clip, and a bracelet for my flower girl on etsy... i think they were all listed as sold, but i sent a message to the seller and they made me one like the picture.. the three pieces have been beautiful!

Re: Etsy
From my personal experiences (of which there are MANY)....I contacted each vendor for a custom listing EVERY time I found something I loved...
Generally you can work with the vendors to customize items.
One of my first LIW posts back in the day was 'What the heck is etsy?' hahaha
I ended up getting MANY things from different vendors and I loved each and every item - they did NOT disappoint!
