Etsy Rant- card box

I'm soo upset. I had ordered a custom made card box from a seller on Etsy back in August. It was custom ordered to include all my wedding colors. I paid for it back in August and the seller told me it was going to ship on October 23rd. Plenty of time to have it for my wedding. So a week ago I noticed it hadn't been marked as shipped on etsy. I emailed the seller to see what the delay was about and I got no response. I went to click on her shop page and got a message saying that this seller no longer has an account!! She closed her account and never made me my box! I just got screwed out of a pretty decent amount of money and etsy cant do anything to help me get it back other than email the seller. PLUS, now I have no pretty card box . I'm so sad I was really looking forward to it and its too late to order another one.

So at this point I am going to try to make one. Any advice from girls on where to buy those pretty boxes and how to make one?

first off, that is horrible.



I would try michaels, they have a lot of stuff you can work with there, and it's reasonably priced.

I would put a post on BHB, I got my boxes from AC Moore. But what about boxes you have around the house...like the post office.

Also, call your credit card company and let them know. I had an incident a few yrs ago where there was several charges on my card that I didnt make. I called the credit card company and didnt have to pay.

I'm getting my card box through For The Modern Bride. They are EXCELLENT and professional. The only problem with them might be they book up months to years in advance. I know they do rush orders. Contact them because they are wonderful people and always try to help brides out who have are in a time crunch!

this is why i am scared to order anything from Etsy. I love a lot of stuff but have heard that alot of brides have gone through a bunch of BS to get the things they ordered.
Isince you used pay pal it should be ok but its just annoying to have to worry about it. Do yuou have any pics on what you wanted your box to look like?

want this? its mostly champagne and pink...but if you put some olive green around it, i think it would def go!

eta: i put pink crystals around the base...but they arent PART of the box....so if you put something green, im sure it would work.
