European Image salon- Sue
Hi sue, My name is Tracey. Airbrushing makeup is the best thing out there. Louisa, is the makeup artist that performs this service. She was featured in newsday on Monday march 5. there are no cons to it,the reason people don't use it is because no one has heard of it until the article in newsday. Louisa has been doing the airbrush make up for 3 years now, the company that makes the airbrush machine is located in California, and thats why no one has heard of it . Louisa will be on channel 55 doing the airbrush makeup on tv. I will be her model, I don't know when it will be on tv, but you can e mail me and i will let you know. Trust me it is the best make up out there!! you will not have to touch up your make up at all, just your lipstick!

I am going to make an appointment with them - thank you for your info. I called them last night and spoke with Patty - What does the airbrush make-up feel like on your face - does it like normal make-up? Tracy when are you getting married? So I guess you are def. using them... I am getting married in June - so I hope they are available for that day. What is the price for the make-up?

Questions about European Image
Where is this salon? And typically how much does this airbrushing makeup process run? What makes this process better than the traditional way of applying makeup? Does it leave a softer effect? Is eyeliner, eyeshadow and lipstick applied with an airbrush too, or just the foundation? About how much do they charge for hair? I`m sure I`m not the only one who would be curious to see the tv special on Channel 55. Could you let us know on this board when it`s schedule to air?

Questions about European Image for Kel
The salon is located in Syosset .Louia does the airbrushed makeup. It feels very light on the face and what makes it superior to regular makeup, is that it does NOT come off your face, you have to wash it off! if you cry ,you just blot where your tears are. it doesn't smudge. the airbrushing really gives your face a flawless look. every thing is applied by the airbrushing machine EXCEPT mascara, eyeliner, and lipliner/lipstick. I paid $200 but Kel, it was so worth it! and Louisa goes to you, you don't have to go to the salon, but Patti, and Angela do awesome hair! they did me and my bridesmaids! my girlfriend paid $175 for makeup in a snooty salon, and her make up was off by the time her reception started. her face is shiny in all her pictures and she looks washed out!, and to top it all off, the makeup artist wouldn't travel to my girlfriens house. so Louisa was well worth it. Call the salon for more details (516)921-3336. Good Luck!

I didn't pay for hair, a girlfriend paid for it as part of a gift. Call tha salon, and speak to Patti. If you read what I wrote about the makeup, to me it was worth it. my face looks great in my pictures from the afternoon till the end of the night

Tracy74 - European Salon
I did read your post. I had two simple questions, if $200 was just for makeup, and how much hair cost. In my opinion $200 for makeup alone is too much and I`ll take a pass on this salon. I just don`t see the justification.

Louisa charges $200 for makeup, because she's a freelance makeup artist. the salons prices are lower. I paid 200, because i knew my makeup wouldn't come off, and since i wasn't paying for the hair, I was willing to pay that price, and i have no regrets, my face looked as good in the afternoon as it did at night. call the salon and see what prices they give for their hair services. Ask to speak to patti, she will tell you. all my girlfriends kiccked themselves in the ass for not doing the airbrush makeup. they paid almost as much as i did but didn't get the quality that i got, and besides there makeup artists made them go to their salons, Louisa travels all over and maybe thats why its pricey

I got most of what you just said out of your previous postings, along with the multiple other posts you have made regarding this salon. There`s been quite a few over the past week - they`ve been hard to miss. But are you saying your girlfriends paid almost as much as $200 for their makeup too? That sounds way out of line compared to some of the prices the other girls have been getting on this site, and many of them have been quite pleased with their results. Obviously you were thrilled with the service you`ve received at this salon the way you`ve been talking them up, but I will search out alternatives for my hair and makeup, regardless of what this salon charges for hair. I have been considering doing my own makeup anyway. I work 15 hour days and never need a touch-up. And no, my face doesn`t break out into a shine. But if I decide against doing my own makeup, I would prefer to have it all done either at my house, or in the same salon for what I determine is a fair price, and that`s not $200 + hair.

Kel the salon itself doesn't charge as much as Louisa does. Louisa charges up to $200 depending on how far she has to travel, I do apologize for mis quoting you on the price. I paid $200 at the time because i also paid for my sister inlaws makeup, as well as lipsticks and other makeup products for her. it was her birthday 2 days prior to my wedding. the salon charges $70 for the bridal stylingw/ the headpiece and veil. When i called for prices the other day, they told me that if the hairstylist or makeup artist travels to your home its more expensive, than if the bride and bridal party come to the salon for the same services, which most salons do this as well. If you do plan to do your own makeup, you should go for a consultation from someone, because bridal makeup is Different than makeup that you wear everyday. good luck w/ your wedding!

That`s a big difference, going from $200 for your own makeup to now including the makeup of your sister-in-law and products. Your original quote was definitely misleading.

Excuse me kel, that I forgot why I paid so much. It didn't hit me until i called the salon and heard the difference in price. thats when i realized why I paid so much. I had gone on several trials w/ other makeup artists ,that did nice work, but it didn't last. thats why I highly recommend Louisa. I was only sharing my very good experience with you future brides.I f you want a list of who I didn't like, I'd be more than happy to post that tooWelcome New Vendors
