I feel like people get annoyed when I talk about my wedding. Even my FH. But I feel we have every right to talk about it as much as we want because its our day and its exciting. I just avoiod talking about it with certain people. The only people who probably genuinely enjoy talking about weddings (besides this Forum) are friends that are getting married around the same time as you or those who just recently got married.

Yes yes yes. I was just crying today about that. Because I was there for all my cousins when they go married and always there for my friends also and right now I feel so alone with this wedding planning until I come on here

I am so with you on his FH has been too busy for so many things with the wedding plans but it is all work for him. He has to make that money so I can have this joyful wedding so I don't complain and he's working for our future but I just wish he was more involved.

yup - that's why this site is so awesome....
where else are you going to find people who will obsess about which font looks best for your petal cones, what color napkins to have on the tables, which pair of earrings you should wear to compliment that beautiful gown, and whether you should use envelopes or paper for your crypacks?!
most of the rest of the world doesn't even know what petal cones & crypacks ARE, let alone give a $hit about them!

Hon, my fiance doesnt even want to talk about our wedding, lol! When I bring it up he acts like he is being attacked by a bear (just stays perfectly still and quiet until I go away)! Haha! I guess everyone feels that way sometimes!

Well put and so very true. I find friends who already got married seemed bored with the talk as if to say been there done that. I find that completely insulting.

I completely felt the same way before the wedding, but wait until you see all of them having a great time at your wedding and raving about it after.

I feel the same way sometimes. My parents and FIL's are interested, and my MOH keeps talking about how excited she is about planning my shower, so I feel like people are excited. BUt I never really talk about it at work. I don't want to annoy everyone. That's why I'm on here so much!!

I try not to go on at length about wedding minutiae with other people. I don't expect other people to be interested in it. I don't think they're jealous--they just have their own lives to live. I only discuss the details on sites like this, or when someone asks.
