I know there are a lot of women on the boards - not everyone can read everything, that it totally understandable...
I think where it bothers me the most is when people post pics (especially wedding pics), and people don't go out of their way to at least say congrats...I try to do it for everyone, but that's just me

I just don't get how someone doesnt 'like' me if they don't REALLY know me.......that's what's hard about the boards.....you can only tell so much about people from the way that they post. But silence speaks volumes......

As a general rule, I dont post unless I have something to say. I think some of the members are really into increasing their post count
I dont usually post congrats ... not because I dont wish them well, more b/c I dont get a chance to look at all the photo threads b/c they sometimes take a while to load.

Marn-I know what you mean about people not knowing you from the boards. I think some people are jealous or just plain weird. But I also think that people who post a lot get a internet ot board personality. If that makes sense. There are people on here I never met but based on their posts, I kind of stereotype - or make up a personality or even a face for them. I can honestly say, I read some people's posts and say I can't see me being friends with them. Then when I finally meet the person, sometimes I am right on and sometimes I am way off.
Edited to say: I try to offer wishes to all people who get married - but don't be offended if I miss you. With so many people getting married lately, I am sure I have missed some people. Lately, I have mostly been writing to people who I have had a previous relationship with. Just too much to keep up with. Sorry!

Niecey - this is true! You're right about the Internet personalities...but I always take everyone here with a grain of salt and realize they may be completely different in real life. And there are even those who come off as the nicest of people who are nothing like I thought when I meet them...]
Or even me - I've said this before - I use a lot of exclamation points when I write, which when read, may look 'bubbly' - which I am not at all!!!!!! (see!)

I don’t post that often b/c work and life are really busy and although I would love to say congrats to all the wedding picture posts; it’s just not possible. There are so many posts in a day and responding to all of them would take forever. I posted pictures of my bridal shower last week and very few people responded and I didn’t take it personally. Even those that respond to almost everything didn’t respond to mine but that doesn’t mean I think they don’t wish me well.

ETA: There are those who post just about everyday, many times a day. There are those who don't (for their own reasons which shouldn't need to be justified).
But, I just find it obvious that some never say congrats or offer a kind word on other's special occasions. Many times I miss posts too - we're not perfect. But to not offer a kind word every now and again, even if you've never technically met the person, I think is wrong. Again, jmo

Another reason for this phenoma might be certain members sticking to one part of the board. I used to be all over every tab but I stick with the NW board 99% of the time now a days. So if something gets posted on BHB, I usually miss it. Im sure the same is true for lots of other NWs.
