Count me guilty - I don't post congrats to everyone joining the Newlyweds side and I rarely comment on photos anymore. Why? I'm rarely on for more than a moment during the day, so I come home to pages and pages of 'new' posts. Just skimming them can take an hour that I should be using to do housework, yardwork, cooking, a renovation project or at the least working on a more constructive hobby like my knitting or cross stitch.
I tend to stay away from posting 'me too' responses and the chit-chat opinion posts most of the time - just don't have time to read every topic and response. My favorite posts are the home improvement and decorating/furnishing posts - I look for those. I'm trying to balance my time better and spend less time on the boards and more time on what's important to achieving my goals.
It doesn't mean I don't wish the new brides well or that I don't like the pictures. I tend to hang on the outside and observe more than participate - that's just my nature. Hey - if you all don't take offense at my not responding to the majority of the posts I promise I'll overlook the fact that no one noticed or asked where I was when I was off the boards for a week a while back

Oh my... I'm starting to feel horribly guilty of not being a 'well wisher'. I hope I haven't offended anyone... sometimes I'm too rushed to post and I just read. It's nothing personal.

Re: Ever notice (funny)
I feel the same as JennRenee. I dont always have time to post or I intend to go back and forget And if a thread slides to the 2nd page I'll rarely see it.
In no way does my not posting indicate I am not happy for everyone. I am excited for everyone getting married. And think about the weekend brides in regards to the weather and if I see a limo on the LIE

Re: Ever notice (funny)
I read a lot of the posts, and I only respond when I have something useful to add. I really wish all of the girls well, but I don't post on every thread because I feel like it's assumed that I wish people well. If I didn't like the girls here, I wouldn't be on the site.

Re: Ever notice (funny)
It's ironic, because I can't go back and read this entire thread, simply because I don't have the time. But it seems as if people are feeling quilty for not posting on almost all threads? That seems impossible!
Some threads on here move way too fast, and with working full time and balancing a personal life, I'd imagine most of us are just too busy to read everything.
I try and log on in the evenings and catch up on what topics/issues interest me.

I'm feeling a little guilty . I don't purposely avoid any particular person, but I don't always post congrats and stuff. I hope no one is offended! I will make an effort to be a better LIW poster from now on!

Re: Ever notice (funny)
once again the thread got blown out of proportion.
I was talking about a certain someone/ not saying all LIW ladies had to post to every post.
I love ya all

I agree, I spend so much time reading the posts, it doesnt leave much for responding to each and every one of them!! I guess I just had so much time on my hands while planning the wedding and that time is now gone. I hope I haven't offended anyone either!!

Re: Ever notice (funny)
Just so you ladies dont feel guilty about not answering posts, A little fun fact for you:
On a good day, there are over 2000 posts. I did not count, I asked Ron!!
But with that kind of activity I doubt anyone of us should feel bad about not being an equal opportunity poster.
Okay sorry Jennbaby, I know this has nothing to do with what you stated in the start of this thread, I just did not want anyone to feel guilty.
I'll go away now

Wow..Shamma...I'm honored to be one of your 'peeps'!! Even though you used to be a musher, I know you're on the good side now!! To get back to the main theme of this thread...my apologies go out to any and all girls whom I've never congratulated personally. You all know (I hope), that I wish everyone nothing but the very best!!! If it makes any other bride feel better...I've posted my pictures about 4 or 5 times since no one ever noticed them the first time around!

Re: Ever notice (funny)
It really is hard to read every post and respond to all. I went out to dinner tonight and have been reading for over an hour just to catch up.
Karen I agree with you. I didn't post recently for more than a week and nobody noticed or commented. Sometimes you just get busy doing other stuff or take a break from the boards to get back to real (no LIW) life. For anyone whose wedding I missed or photos I neglected to comment on I say 'Congratulations', 'Beautiful' 'Oh how cute'. I think that should cover it!!!

Re: Ever notice (funny)
Jamie I'm sorry you are right. You do FM me when I am not here and ask if I am okay. I deserve to be lashed with a wet noodle for that. I should have clarified that I was off all last week and no one commented. I really am sorry.
Edited to add: Cannot lay in the sun because I will become a french fry and get wrinkles and then everyone will actually believe that I am a grandmother!
