i got married on a friday and although i would have liked a few more people at the church i was happy with the ones that did come. As for the cocktail hour everyone except for a few made it and everyone had a wonderul time and stayed untill the end. my friends stuck up for me when people said why a friday!! they would tell people because she wanted to throw the ultimate happy hour lol. it will be fine and the people that are closest to you will be there. high society weddings are usually during the week like a weds

You cant please everyone...I wanted a friday too and got the same response so I changed but thats jsut me.

The people who really matter will be there regardless...

I also am a Friday night bride. Since I was little, I always wanted it on a Friday night.

I think it is great for people, you still have the weekend to relax.

i felt the same way i always wanted a friday because to me its the best day of the week.

do what makes you happy and have it wheneve ryou want it! those who are the most important will BE THERE. you are important enough to have your wedding your way and do what you can afford. If they have such a problem why not suggest they pay the price differences on everything? if they are willing than you are willing to go to Saturday and if not, they'll have to accept what you can afford, right?
