so my mom called me and told me my dad came home last night and he didnt want to say much so i called him from work today and asked him what happned.. he said 'u dont want to know' he was going to brooklyn to see family that had come from pr to visit he got lost coming going there and while there someone crashed the front of his new pickup truck,(this happened in brooklyn) then he was a few minutes away from home... on brentwood rd. in brentwood - long island...stopped at a red light.. he said someone pulled up next to him and got out and was asking for directions so my dad opened the window the next thing he knows the guy pulled a gun to my dads head and named the gang he was in.. they were going to shoot my dad in the head ... but he must have an angle watching over him because a car pulled up behind him and the gang members jumped in there car and left... i just found this out .. and im in tears.. my dad could have been killed last night.. i just told my boss who is a criminal attorney and he said that this type of thing is known with this gang.. its there way of initiating people.. ooo my god.. my dad... ahhhhhhh i dont know what to feel ... im so upset

that's horrible! I can't even imagine how terrifying that must have been, and how awful you must feel right now. I don't think I'd sleep for months if that happened to me. I honestly don't understand how some people can be so heartless.

please tell me where this happened... my fh works in brooklyn, I'm worried about him...

I don't even know what to say. I got goosebumps reading your story. How terrible! Your dad definitely has an angel on his shoulder.

Did he go to the police?

I'm so sorry that happened. I cant imagine how your family must be feeling.... thank god he is ok.

However, it is good we all know about this. FMIL is a teacher out east she told me that there some new gangs out there recruiting young teens and they were told to beware. Part of their initiation is raping a woman!!! Times are changing. Everyone needs to careful at all times.

Thankfully, nothing happened to him. So scary, you always think it's never going to happen to your family. Then it does!

I am worried about FH. He also works in Brooklyn and I told him what happened to your father.

Thats awful! I would be feeling the same way as you! So HAPPY that your nothing happened to your dad and he came home safe to your family!

Yea.. there are real sicko's out there.. FH and I were out Sunday night at Bennagains on Deer park Ave in Deer Park and some guy held up a knife to a bartender and threatened her, another guy tried to help and tried to carry the guy out thank god noone was hurt but it was scary! Three cop cars came right away after the manager called thank god!!
