... there are many dogs that people will NOT buy because they are 'ugly' (like the chinese crested, lol!)

Yep. As soon as we get our house built we will find a breeder close to us (I hate the idea of those dogs on the cold cargo areas of planes).

I love the pink & blue ones...they are super cute. I def. want a hairless though, not a powederpuff.

I have stayed out of this mainly because when people talk about puppy mills I literally get sick to my stomach. I wanted to just add that as far as the tea-cup thing goes, just because they are not recognized by the AKC does not mean they will never be. I have a Jack Russell and terriers are my personal area of canine expertise. Jack Russells took a long time to be accepted by the AKC because of their working/hunting heritage. The JRTCA did NOT want JRTs in the AKC becasue we feared that JRTs would be bred for the ring, not for hunting. After years, now they are AKC recognized.

My point is, tea-cups, though not accepted now, will probably be in the future.

All dogs are wonderful!
