Eww, I am so grossed out...

Ok, so as many of you know, I am temping for the Greater Boston Food Bank. Its cool (the organization, at least)...

There's the office part (where I work) and the warehouse that has all of the food (its UNREAL how much stuff they have!). Naturally there is a MAJOR emphasis on things being sanitary....handling food, etc. (I'm sure some of you see where this is going............)

So, the warehouse guys are really cool. Much more down to earth and easy to talk to than some of the snooty office people. But man, I was ready to hurl this afternoon....

At lunch time everyone (office and warehouse crew) hang out in the lunchroom. I went into the lunchroom to use the microwave and then I grabbed myself a plastic spoon and fork. Soon after I grabbed my utensils I witness a warehouse guy changing all of the garbage bins. He's coughing and sniffling everywhere (because its FRICKING FREEZING HERE). Then he proceeds to grab a ton of plastic utensils from a storage box and refill the tray that I grabbed mine from........garbage hands, coughing everywhere................!!!!!!!

Finally, after he does this he goes back into the warehouse to handle more food!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, my utensils got a thorough cleaning before I chowed down. But you'd think that people handling food would be more cautious.

I never believed my mom when she told me to 'wash all of the fruit before eating' but I do now!!!!!!!!

Sorry, just had to share...

Ewww that is nasty!!! OMG I wouldn't have been able to eat. I always wash everything. And now with the taco bell thing about the e-coli. I won't eat anywhere.

Not yet...I ate TBELL on sunday....keep a close watch

Me too I get the same thing everytime I go...cheesy gordita crunch, soft taco supreme, and fiesta potatos!!! DELICIOUSSSS

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! At least you witnessed it and was able to clean yours before you used them!

there is a sign in the bathroom that says:

Ladies, please go IN the toilet, and if you miss please alert someone so they can clean it up.

NOW,WHY would that ever be necessary in an office?!

I can't imagine calling someone and saying 'Uh, hi....yeah, I sprayed all over the seat. If you could clean it up, that would be great.'

Doesnt everyone know:

'If you sprinkle when you tinkle, please be neat and wipe the seat'!?!?!??!
