One of my best friends from HS. She is divorced now and she is totally against weddings and anything related to them. When I called her the night I got engaged to tell her..she was all distracted and not paying attention, so I was like is everything ok? She goes yeah, I m watching greys. Needless to say since then we don't really talk anymore. When we went out after I got engaged, she didn't even ask to see my ring. This girl was like a sister to me at one point. It really hurt but If you're so wrapped up in yourself that you can't even pretend to be happy for your best friend, I don't need you in my life. I originally wanted to have her as my MOH but now I don't even think I'm inviting her to the wedding.
At first FH told me to give her a break because of all that she has been through with the divorce but we were talking about it the other day and he's **** F**k her. If she was really your friend she would get overself and be there for you. He told the friends that are by your side now are the only ones that matter.
Has anyone else had to deal with drama like this?? I'm just really upset over this, it's like I lost one of my best friends.

Re: Ex BF vent
thankfully, i have not had to go through anything like this, but i'm so sorry that you had to. your FH is right, if she were really your friend, she would be there for you and apologize for not being so excited b/c of what she has been through, but that is no excuse to take away from your happiness. i wouldn't even invite her to the wedding.

Re: Ex BF vent
Some people just like to be miserable. After 6 years shes CHOOSING not to get over what she went through. It's funny how much my circle of friends changed when my FH and I got engaged. Keeping positive people around you during this time is so important....planning is stressful enough! Who needs other peoples drama??

Re: Ex BF vent
i had to deal with my 'bf' of 27 yrs not agreeing with my engagement. i decided to not have her in the wedding- not to invite her- and pretty much end the friendship. i want people who love and support me and my relationship at my wedding! you dont need negative/unsupportive people there! screw her!
