Ugh Kathy - I could never afford that!! I'm not poor, but with the mortgage and the bills, that's just too much!!

Re: Exercise question...

T, you probably can be in it now!

I'm now feeling sorry for myself ( ) , so I'm going out for a run.

Re: Exercise question...

Marni, is there anyone on the boards or any friends you know that works out near you...they could guide you and show you what to do.

Re: Exercise question...

Kathy - alright - exactly what would I need to eliminate - what exactly are complex carbs?? (sorry, I'm not really that stupid though)

T-
You are absolutely positively GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!

Re: Exercise question...

Ok, so I didn't leave to run right away, but T, which one are you?

I thought you said you were the brunette, and this was a pic before you started working out and before you dyed your hair?

Or are you the blonde? I'm confused.

Re: Exercise question...

OMG T, your waist is tiny!

Yeah, your arms are awesome!

Some people are just lucky.

I saw this interview with Pam Anderson (she's also got killer arms like you), and she said that she doesn't really exercise all that much, she's just constantly running after her children and lifting them up all the time!

Re: Exercise question...

Don't completely eliminate carbs...you just eat fruits and veggies in place of things like breads, pastas, rice, (all that good food).

So, say for dinner you're going to have a piece of chix., you have maybe a salad with some oil and vinegar (I even cheat sometimes and put a bit of regular dressing on, but only a bit).

Or for breakfast, have 3 eggwhites, a half a piece of cheese (for your fat intake) and say 1 and 1/2 cups of watermelon.

This is the nutrition program my nutritionist put me on, there's another girl on the boards that uses him, his name is Dr. Wallman and he is located in Smithtown. He gave me this whole chart. He figured out exactly how much protein I need a day, and how many calories I need to sustain my weight, and how many calories I need to burn fat.

He's good.

Re: Exercise question...

Kathy - thank you! Although you told me exactly what I didn't want to hear - that I must eliminate ALL the things I love soooooooo much!! Bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, etc. I'm not sure I could do this! Do I have to eliminate them completely or can I eat them in moderation?

Ronnie&Theresa Posted:

Re: Exercise question...

Everything But Sex is in Moderation!

Re: Exercise question...

T - LOL!!!!! Isn't that considered a workout though??

Re: Exercise question...

I believe it's one of the *best* workouts around.

Re: Exercise question...

I eliminated them completely during my fat reduction phase. Once I got to where I wanted to be, I would have say a pasta dish once a week when FI and I would go out to dinner, as a treat.

i'm sure you can bring them back in, but I didn't go back to DR. Wallman to learn how...I probably should.

T, I'm 5'4 and go back and forth between a 2 and a 4. (Right now I'm more around the size 4s because I've been bad with the diet, but have jumped back on the wagon!)

T, you have FM!

And from the pics I've seen of Marcella, she does look amazing! Do you two workout together?

Re: Exercise question...

Kim - I'm really looking forward to the class tomorrow. I have completely lost my flexibility, I'm embarassed to say...after training for 16 years and being able to watch tv or read a book, while in a side-split - for hours at a time - I'd probably tear my hamstrings if I tried that now.

How long b4 you saw some results?

Re: Exercise question...

You're to funny T! I don't think you have to worry about changing anything!

Re: Exercise question...

Colleen-The first class was rough, I have to admit. I have been taking yoga for about a year before I started pilates, so I had some fexibility but not nearly as much as I have now. After the second class I was able to bend in ways I never imagined. After the first 3/4 classes I noticed a difference in my running even. I take bigger strides now. Good luck and have fun!!
