And I have to say, that working out has been the best decision I have ever made. It is SO worth it!!! Every year I feel younger and more attractive.

Re: Exercise question...
I am a true believer in running. I have been working out since I was in high school, and I have never had the firmness or the energy I have from running religiously now. I run about 30-40 miles a week and it have given me such a tight stomach and butt. I lift 4-5 times a week, but I do light weight. I feel light weight more reps gives me a more toned look as opposed to heavy weight less reps making me a bulkier look.
Whatever form of exercise you choose, do something! It will make you feel better all around!

Re: Exercise question...
T - not mad!!!!!!!!!!!! You're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!! I'm just not a gym person, so I'm curious if there's something I could do at home rather than the gym...
I do want it.....I feel the motivation coming on.....I'm getting sad when I look in the mirror, and I think it lowers my self esteem because I know I can do things to help minimize it and I'm not...
I'm making excuses for myself all the time now...and the funny thing is I've always said I live by the motto 'you never FIND the time, you MAKE the time'....but I'm not doing that for myself.
I think the hardest thing for me will be to change my diet (especially the carbs - my favorite thing in the world)...
I thank you for your help and your HONESTY......I wouldn't have it any other way. Why candy coat the truth? (and candy is bad, bad, bad)

Re: Exercise question...
Thanks Kathy..
I wish I was in that good of shape.. I want to enter in miss hawaian topics next year... I still need more curve....... But thanks girl............
I don't run doing cardio bc I have 10lb implants and they would die if I did that to them..
I do the stepper for 40mins... Yes 40mins and I ride the bike... Its easy bc I can read my book when I ride the bike....
Plus..... I don't eat Anything.... I am such a brat!!! So that helps too.. I think food is a waste......
I do 25lb presses over the head to shape my arms. I just am a lil cut up.. I don't want guns. My frame is too small for it........ I also do ALOT of shrugs.. I love having toned shoulders.. I wouldn't wear tank tops if I didn't have defined shoulders... Back is key too.. I lift 70lb over the head presses.............
Its about weight and reps and what look you want to achieve!!!!!!

Re: Exercise question...
Marni, what about hiring a personal trainer. That way, you HAVE to go to the gym because you have an appointment and your paying someone.
Also, the trainer will keep you moving, and make sure your form is correct through all the exercises. And, if you don't like gyms, a trainer makes it a lot nicer, they kind of put you into this world of just you and him/her. You are working so hard, you don't even notice anyone else, and they don't usually ever bother you (even to hit on you) if your working with a trainer (at least my trainer, he gets ****ed if someone interrupts his workout)

Re: Exercise question...
Eroxgirl - hmmmmmmm...are we cut from the same cloth? Sounds like you have the same body as me (although I would like to lose 5 - 10 lbs.), my problem is my ass, thighs and saddle bags (and my arms need some SERIOUS toning)...
I'm sure you see yourself one way and everyone else sees you another!!
Ladies - thank you for all your help!! I will step today when i get home from work!!

Re: Exercise question...
Kathy - how much do you pay though? That sounds like something I could definitely handle in the gym...but it would have to be within a certain budget!
Jenny2Penny -hmmm...maybe you'll have to show me tonight!

Re: Exercise question...
Marnles....we definitely are! Same problem areas, same LAZINESS, and I have to work out at home (because I just can't commit to a gym...and I can't yell the way I do at home )
and everyone tells me I'm nuts when I start talking about exercize, but they don't see my naked butt jiggling around my house like I do!

Re: Exercise question...
WOW T!
You must look like Pam Anderson!!!
Don't you ever feel dizzy or sick from not eating and lifting those weights?
If I miss a meal or don't get the proper amount of protein and then go to the gym, I get totally queasy.

Re: Exercise question...
Marni, it's around $45 for one hour, and $25 for 30 min. So I do 1 hour twice a week (all upper body workouts), and then about 30-40 min. once a week (legs).
So, I weight train 3 times a week with a trainer.

Re: Exercise question...
One more thing...Marni, I know you said you LOVE Carbs.,,,,so do I, believe me, but once you eliminate the complex carbs from your diet (I felt sick the first few days), you totally get used to it!
Just try it for ONE WEEK, and by the end of that week you won't believe what the scale says! (I know a lot of that is water, but still, it's nice to have all that water gone!)
