Expensive dress I really like or cheaper dress I like??

Ok found a bridesmaid dress I really really like by Jordan. Found one that I love by Shelli Segal. The difference in the price is almost $150 for the one I love!! With alterations the dress would be almost 300!!

Is it too much to ask my girls to pay for?? The will also have to contribute significantly to my shower as my mom cannot help at all???

i would shoe them both of the dresses and have them try both on-- then say hey what do you think?????

JMO but i think its way too much $$$ - i would go with the less expensive dress!!

I had the same prob the dress i liked was 302 or somehting then i found a cheaper dress similar to the 1st but i kept looking and found a totally different dress i loved and it is 188.

So if u have time still look around u never know!

i think it is a bit much for your bridesmaids. I think u should consider the one that looks almost like it. Jordan makes beautiful BM dresses

I agree $300 is a little bit much toask your bridesmaids to pay.

Thanks girls for your advice...I think I am going to go with the cheaper dress and add fabric covered buttons down the back to match my dress!! I really do love it!

I would think that is a lot but think of your girls financial situations...are they all financially able to pay, do they have good jobs, and/or children where $300 is not much for them???
Things to consider..the dress is beautiful and you ultimately decide which dress and how much you want your girls to spend. Good luck tough choice!

I love that dress!!! I think you are making a great choice. I wore a Jordan dress for my sisters wedding and it was stunning!

Maybe you can give them the choice?

I spent $300 on my gown for my sister's wedding. It was a Jim Hjelm. It was so much b/c we had to have it rush shipped I think and I also had to add a shawl or something. Personally I don't think $300 is that bad, but it's definitely the upper limit on what I'd be willing to spend

ETA: I saw the dress you picked. it is BEAUTIFUL
