hey guys, has anyone had experience with do-it-yourself flowers? i have family friends willing to help me, but i wanted to know how stressful or easy it really is. we have only 12 tables to put centerpieces on, i have 5 bridesmaids, there are 4 parents, and he has 4 groomsmen + himself. just wanted to know if it pays to save the money or have less aggrivation and get the florist. we already have the centerpiece vases to hold the flowers in. thanks guys!!

Re: experience with diy flowers
I plan to do this as well. Sooo much cheaper than a florist and much more fun (I think anyway). My FI's friend went to Costco and bought the roses there. They spent $400 and bought enough flowers for the entire wedding party (4BM & 4GM), the parents and the centerpieces with enough left over to send thank you arrangements to vendors. WOW! What a savings!

wow, that's really great...how did they go about ordering the flowers in advance, and how much time before the wedding did they do so?
