Experiences with temperature tracking?

I have been tracking my temperature the last two months and I would like to know others experiences.

Last month was kind of obvious when was my O day, but this month I have not been able to see any changes... more than that, it has been very high when it was not supposed to be...

Does anyone want to share with me? TIA!!!

Re: Experiences with temperature tracking?

Well, I am keeping them on a chart at home... I take the temperature orally and always at the same time and I haven't change the thermometer.

According to last month, yesterday was supposed to be my O day, and the entire week the temperatures have been over 97.6 while last month where always under 97.5 and they rose after my O day.

I don't understnad, maybe I am doing something wrong or maybe I don't understand yet how to read those numbers

Re: Experiences with temperature tracking?

I charted for two months and it made no sense whatsoever. I did it at the exact same time every morning but my temps were all over the place all the time so I just got annoyed.

The fertility monitor has been great for me.

Re: Experiences with temperature tracking?

You need to give it at least 3 months. Have you been taking your temperature the same time every morning? Even on the weekends? It's very important to track it everday at the same time. Also do you have the basal thermal thermometer?

In my experience, when my body temp hits 98.0, I have ovulated. I usually have 2 days of high temps, then it goes down. It's so accurate for me that 5 days after my high temp, I know when I will get my period. I also use the OPK to know when I am ovulating. Remember once you hit your high temps your egg has already been release.

Re: Experiences with temperature tracking?

I charted for a month, then I saw a reproductive endocrinologist. She said charting is a waste of time, because there are so many variables, and you can get the same information from Cycle day 3 blood levels. (I think they check progesterone and estridiol levels.

Re: Experiences with temperature tracking?

I charted for 2 months. For the first month my temps were all over. Then the second month, it fell to where it was suppose to. I think charting works great! I got PG the second month! The first month I didn't completely understand it, but like I said, the second month, it fell into place.

P.S., if you'd like my chart is still on Fertility Friend... I can post it for you??? It shows when I 'O', and the implantation dip, and then the high temps!
