extra hour

So I started to want an extra hour instead of ending at 10 (Sunday night). Figured a lot of us will want to keep partying after, so might as well end a little later. I also keep hearing about CLM's VH hour.

It's $15 pp though which is alot.

So I can do a mini VH and have some cool stations (I already have choc fountain), but he weill add zeppolis, ice cream stations, and some more for much less than $15pp, but it's not an extra hour.

Thoughts?

what about doing a mini VH like you said and save some $$ but maybe do a hour and 1/2 CH? Most ppl love that part of the wedding and maybe it would be less??

I'll ask him about that. The VH is expensive because of the extra hour he said..so I wonder if I do 1/2 for CH and 1/2 hour Mini VH, if it will still be $15. Thanks for the suggestion!

Jackie.....OMG- I'm a dessert addict so I picked the VH hour. I was at CLM in Sept and the VH was AAMAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZING. Probably one of the best I've ever seen!! Can you negotiate the price down?

Forgot to mention, they had an apple pie section. THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD!!!

I will try. I have time to decide. He said once we go over the menu we will pick (in May). Maybe since I'm having such a large wedding, he will negotiate with me more too! I will try. I heard such great things about their VH.

Do you remember how many or what stations they had?

I think they must of had everything. They had a zeppolle station (DELICIOUS),
candy station (HUGE HIT), several, several cookies and puddings and cakes,
chocolate fountain, baked apple pie (LOVED IT...getting hungry...lol), I think they also had a cotton candy area too.
How much of a price difference is there between the two? Make sure you get the most for your money.
Sorry for being so bias, but I go nuts for VH. lol. Which ever you choose though, I promise you- it'll be great!!!

I was just going to say this..it adds up to more than you think.

Ahhh I know looking at that list, and thinking of the extra hour for guests to dance/party, makes me want it!!!!!!

It's in another room too. Right across the hall, so the party will keep going. People go in, get dessert, and the dance floor is still popping. That's what I hope!! so torn!!!!

200$ more isnt too bad....and phtographer isnt any up charge? hmmm thats great! Well remember if you have it you may have alot of us crashing....hope CLM doesnt mind!!!

IMHO VH is not necessary...I feel like it takes up a precious hour..if its added on then I would rather just dance. I pondered just having an extra hr but it was of course extra $ per person and then you have to pay vendors for that extra hr as well. I decided against it and did an after party at the hotel's bar...I was so happy I did this b.c I was so exhausted that I didn't even want to go to my after party!

Photographer is 10 hours, and that gives us plenty of time to do the extra hour at the RH.

Well, the VH is in the cocktail room, so people can still dance. I might just do the after party too. I know the hotel will keep the bar open late for us. So I dont know!!

I am all about the viennese....that was the one thing I wanted. But i was nervous about not having enough time so I was lucky enough that they said they would throw in an extra half hour and we got a full viennese for only $5 a head....

try to work w/ them ask them if u add an extra hour will they throw something in. or if u get a full viennese will they give u more time???

FH and I wanted an extra hour...just for partying...and my RH said that was fine!!! We are just doing passed VH trays....they included it for us in our price! WE really just want the hour for more dancing because we feel like the night always ends so fast at weddings!

Ask your RH if you can just add an hour????
