For you girls who decided not to add on the extra hour to your reception, are you questioning your decision?
I have gone back and forth with this so many times, I have no idea what to do. I would hate to regret it in the long run, no matter wether I add it or not. I want to extend my wedding as long as possible, to be able to enjoy all the food, and dance my butt off!
Anybody else feel like this??? I cant decide if its worth the extra money

i sometimes wonder if i needed the extra hour. Our wedding will end at 1 and i dont want people leaving at 12 and that's what i'm afraid will happen. I mean, we didn't pay for the extra hour but sometimes i think about it

I wanted to do this as well but decided not to. Instead we're going to a lounge after the wedding.

I would hate to not have it, and then everybody wants to keep partying. And then I would hate to pay for it and have everyone leave at the time that it would have been over anyways.
We could always go back to the hotel bar and hang out, but I guess I am just afraid that I wont get enough dancing in

You can always add half hour to CH and half hour to reception if you want.

This is exactly how I feel. Nobody got off the dance floor at my e-party, and when it was over everyone came back to my house and partied well into the night, and it was a sunday! Worst case scenario I can always see how its going on my wedding night, and if it seems that alot of people would stay I could always extend it then. I would just rather know ahead of time because I will get the extra hour at a discounted rate if I book it at a show case. ughhhh I hate making these decisions

we're doing an extra hour and i wouldn't have it any other way. to me, it was totally worth the extra money because it extended our wedding day a whole extra hour.
i think we wound up paying like $5 extra pp for the extra hour which is really only like $1000 on a probably $40K++ wedding.

I could not afford to pay each vendor and the RH for an extra hour... we can go back to the hotel and continue the partying!

I originally was doing the extra hour but I dropped it last night and decided to just go with vienese trays and chocolate fountain and possibly a sundae bar for the last hour and let people take the wedding cake home. I have to leave early the next day for the honeymoon and fh wanted an after party at the hotel we are leaving from. So i am just going to add it at the last hour instead of doing the whole extra hour because I dont want to be the only person there till one

Question, would this extra hour consist of a V-hour or just dancing? If it's a v-hour I can tell you right now that your going to lose people from the dance floor and the 'party' to eat.

No VH. I am just thinking of adding the extra hour to 'party' I actually had added the Candy cart for the end of the night but recently decided to remove it because I felt that it would take away too much time from dancing.
