and also, apparently April 5, 2009 is Palm Sunday.. i dont know what that means, since i'm a jew, but will that effect the amount of people that would come? Is Palm Sunday a huge deal? Pardon my ignorance.

aww palm sunday is big if your a catholic that goes to church every sunday and is really strict about it all. like i would go to a wedding if it was on palm sunday.

so i was considering changing my date if duet had another one available, the only thing was that i HAD to have it on a Sunday afternoon... and the guy said that theres NO sundays available that he can see through 2009. So yeah... i guess this means i wasnt destined to have duet as my photographers.
Oh no sorry about that. Palm Sunday is a big catholic holiday.

sorry that theyre booked. do you have a second choice?
Palm sunday is the weekend before easter(which is in the catholic world one of the most important days cuz jesus came back to life) some people celebrate easter more than christmas..
But, I dont think its going to effect how many people come. Most of the time on palm sunday you just go to church and they 'prepare' you for the coming of jesus-you get palms and go home.
Its not somber or anything like that. You should be good to go!! Hope that helped. My mom definately pounded this stuff into my head!

why dont u look into Twelfth Night? their work is very similar to Duet as well as the prices. their my photogs and I love them.

I'm so sorry Marissa..look into 12th night and Thomas Paul (i've heard great things about both). I actually contacted Thomas Paul but had to cancel my meeting due to my wedding changes, but he seemed really nice and reasonable.
I'm a Catholic who goes to Church every Sunday. Palm Sunday is a very important day, however if i was invited to a wedding that day i would definitely go!!

Another Catholic here. If I was going to your wedding, I would just go to mass on Sat evening, it still counts for Sunday
Sorry about Duet I know you are bummed now, but there are many photographers that do just as good work or maybe even better You will find the one for you.

I'm not Catholic but I am Christian and I celebrate Palm Sunday too. But I would definately come to ur wedding if I was invited. I would go to church before the wedding on Saturday or Early Sunday Morning. Or seriously just tell someone to get my palms for me.
I'm sorry about Duet though...I hope u find someone who captures ur heart they way they did

I could understand if ur wedding was on Good Friday or Easter Sunday but it's on Palm Sunday...so u should def be fine...if someone says they cant come because of that then they are making up excuses cause they can go to the service before or after ur wedding to receive their palms! Your going to have a beautiful day trust me!
