Eyebrows

I totally hate my eyebrows. They do not seem to grow in. They need to be shaped better but they are thin as it is. Anyone know where I can go to have my eyebrows fixed.

I had my make-up trial yesterday and I loved everything accept the brows. ANyone have solutions?

Funny, I am currently all over. I will be living in Yonkers but I spend a lot of time in Glendale Queens. All of my vendors are in Long Island. :)

I did not see the eyebrow thread. I wish I had more time to surf this site

cocoa I looked at the link. I am sorry what am I looking for? There is a flow chart of all the site links.

I found the eyebrow post from the other day. My problem is that my brows are not growing in. They are not super thin but thinner than I like. I am afraid to have anyone touch them since if it gets screwed up I will be even more unhappy. I need an eyebrow master :)

Underneath and around the shape grows but the thickness isn't there. I am wondering if using a pencil is the problem. Since they are spacious I fill them in with a pencil to be a bit darker. Maybe the pencil is causing a problem somehow.

this is going to sound weird but hear me out. i used to also pencil in parts of my brows, but i used a pencil. the pencil itself was a rather dry one, and i wound up taking out hairs and making my brows look worse. now when i want to emphasize them, i use a eyebrow shadow brush with eyeshadow or brow powder. it is more gentle on my brow hairs.

No that doesn't sound wierd. You are probably right. I have tried a few different pencils but I was thinking a powder might be better and softer looking. What powder do you use? I am not sure which one to try.

i usually just use eyeshadow in a color that is similar to my brow hair which is dark. i usually have to play around with it. if i do use the pencil, i make sure to use short, feathery strokes, almost like dashes. i am anxious to try something from sephora that has stencils, too, but i have to save some money for that.

my Friend tweezed her eybrows too much and the hair was so sparse after that. So she had a brow line tattooed on. Sounds nust but alot of ppl have done it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to go without the pencil for a while. I am not happy about teh way it looks but Maybe if I leave them be for a mont or two they will come back. Then I will look into some other options.

I love this board it is so cool :)

I'm not sure if this is too far for you but there is a beauty salon in Hicksville on Broadway the name is something with an A.. But their is Indian ladies in there that do the most amazing eyebrows with thread. Don't let anyone tell you any different threading HURTS it is like pulling ur hairs out one at a time with a string. It is honestly so cheap and they do a really really good job of shaping them and they are opened til like 7pm everynight.
I go there for them to shape them every couple of months and then either get them waxed or pluck them myself inbetween.

You HAVE to go to see Aneta at Estee Lauder Spa in Manhasset!!! She is AMAZING!!! I'm not kidding - I had no idea they could look like this!! I feel like a movie star - LOL!!

MissM - I was JUST going to suggest that!!!!

Definitely give the Estee Lauder spa a call - they are wonderful!!!!

And for those girls who are on LI who don't want to go to Manhasset, Jacqueline Nicole also shapes eyebrows. She did mine for the wedding :)

Good luck
