Re: eyebrows - do you pluck or wax?
I pluck and wax myself. I would never let another person touch my eyebrows again, every time someone else does them, they screw them up, so I just decided to wax them myself. It's easy, but I make sure I do the really close shaping with a tweezer.

Re: eyebrows - do you pluck or wax?
Do not pay more than $5 for threading!!! There are lots of Indian salons (I'm bias to them!), especially in Queens that do an awesome job. I also get my upper lip threaded, usually for $3. I live in Bayside, but Asha salon sucks, IMO. I don't think I ever went there when the owner was there, but the other ladies did a bad job. I usually go to Shobha's in Floral Park, it's on Hillside, around 265th St. There are some other new salons there too.

I get electrolysis done on my eyebrows, lip, arms and underarms. It hurts, it's expensive but it's well worth it.

Re: eyebrows - do you pluck or wax?
I wax even though my skin is waaaay sensitive and I look like a freak the first few hours after. I am a horrible plucker!! I also tear, sneeze and get frustrated. I want to try threading but I heard it hurts a lot. Is that true? I originally thought it was painless.

Re: eyebrows - do you pluck or wax?
How do you thread your eyebrows?? Sounds painful. I usually get mine waxed and try to maintain them for a bit by plucking them.
