What type of skin do you have? And what Brand of Moisturizer do you use?
I told someone I didn't use anything and they looked at me like I was going to dry out and turn into a wrinkled raisin before their eyes! Now they have me scared that I'm going to look old really soon ... I need help, I've never worn moisturizer!

I've never used one. My face is oily enough.

That's how I feel and this person was like, 'no, no, no, everyone must moisturize. even if you have oily skin, you need a non-oily moisturizer.' So now I'm lost.

But why if your skin isn't dry? I've heard that before too but I don't understand it. It's like telling someone with dry skin to use an astringent.

My skin is pretty dry..
I also use Oil of Olay..the one in the bottle. I love it because it doesn't make my face oily.

Re: Face Moisturizer?
I worked in this field years ago. And the theory behind everyone should wear moisturizer, even oily skin, is so that it can protect the skin from crap in the air. Also, moisturizer can help maintain oily skin.
This is what most companies will say. I have dry skin so I have to use moisturizer.

I've got combination skin, and I use Have a Nice Day by Origins (at least, I think that's what it's called). Basically, I'm a sucker for anything from Origins.

I too have oily skin, but just recently started using Benefits 'Honey snap out of it Scrub' and also Benefits Dear John moisturizer. I love it, it smooths out my skins and tones it, and it feels awesome after! I got both items from Sephora.

But mine doesn't need maintenance, it is oily all by itself? Even when I went on vaca. to the desert?

WORD! Also, if you've gone this long without moisturizing, why bother starting now?
If you're skin feels dry, moisturize. If it feels fine, then leave it alone!

But some people want to try to change their skin to normal and control the level of oiliness (sp) and shine. I am sure it is what everyone is comfortable with.
BTW, I also use Origins, and I always loved them.

Re: Face Moisturizer?
I use Oil of Olay, I think, now I can't remember, it maybe Ponds.
I have the T-zone oily skin. My dermotologist said only to moisturize when it is dry.
ETA: I also have sensitive skin.

Re: Face Moisturizer?
Jan05Bride... if you're worried about your skin just make sure you wear sunscreen on your face with a minimum SPF of 15.
They have non-comedogenic and oil-free sunscreens that would be better for oily skin.
