i know i am grasping for straws here, but i took a hpt today (aim stick) and it was a BFN...and just out of curiosity, i took it out of the garbage just now (three hours later) and saw a faint line....
what do you think?....possibility or am i just making myself crazy?

How long did you let it sit while testing? Usually its about 3 mins you are supposed to wait...I would guess its possible to get a faint line if you wait longer... if the hormone isnt strong enough? I thik if I were you I would wait another day or two and try again. If you are PG then the hormone will be that much stronger in a couple of days.

No no no... you are not supposed to read the results of an HPT after a certain amount of time. I think it's 10 minutes. If you still have the package, try reading the instructions and see how long it says for your particular test. I wouldn't believe that result at ALL.
If AF is late, test again.

Yeah I wouldn't trust that, I remember when I was doing the opk sticks - I would look at them hours later and it would appear I was ovulating when initially I was not. I would retake the test.

I probably wouldnt trust it, BUT...That happened to me..I waite dthe five minutes or what not, saw nothing , and threw it out...About who knows how long later..HOURS..I checked it in the garbage and there was a faint line.
I waited 2 days and The next test had a BIG SOLID line...
So I would re-test after 2 days...
So although its not likly, I was PG with a faint line HOURS later.

Definetly DO NOT TRUST IT! You are not supposed to read a test after 10 minutes. The line that you saw was an evaporation line.
When is AF due?
