So i've been reading that a lot of girls get fake erings to go on their honeymoon with....I am assuming this is so they don't get robbed or something???
Is anyone doing this and if so why??

I don't think I will. I've heard of girls doing this, but we are going on our HM the day after our ceremony and there's no way I won't want to wear my rings!

If so my ring to me is beautiful but I would assume to not be robbed BUT guess you should never assume!

I plan on wearing my real one and brining a fake for while I'm at the beach or doing watersports. I know people who have lost theirs while doing that. Ill wear my real one at dinners and while I am not doing anything where I'm at risk of losing it.

i noticed soooooo many girls wearing their erings on vaca.. pool and beach..
i wouldnt..unless theirs were fake also for that purpose... but.. why would u wear jewelry in the water?

I have a fake ering I wear to rock concerts and when I am working at the construction site. I didn't buy it after I got engaged, its just a cheap piece of jewelry I've had for a while.
I guess I never thought about bringing it on my honeymoon. But there is no way I would leave the real one in the hotel while I went down to the beach. Maybe I would leave it with my mom.

I'm not going to bother with a ring. I love my jewelry, but when I go to the beach/pool I NEVER wear it. If anything, I'll keep it in a safe.

i know someone who wears the fake one daily, and i think its just kinda useless, the ring is meant to be worn daily, as for the hm, that makes sense but i love my ring, i just dont wear it in the ocean or pool, and the fake one would be good for that but it costs like $200 to get one

FH got me a replica of my ering when he proposed. He did not want to bring the real thing with him to mexico b/c he was deathly afraid of theft or me losing it. I actually do wear my replica when I work out, when my real ring is being 'serviced' and plan on wearing it on Vaca. It was the best thing he ever did, and the smartest.

im not doing a fake ring combo, but my set is all diamonds. instead im getting a second wedding band, that's just plain gold. i go to the beach a lot during the summer, and travel quite often, and i don't want to wear my diamond set, but don't want to wear something fake either.

i might get on...just for the simple fact that Shawn and I are active and if we do something i dont want to have to worry about damaging my ring or possibly loosing it!!! I dont know what i would do if anything happened to my rings!!

ummm im torn on this. there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing your rings in the water. it wont damage them at all. im just afraid to get robbed. there have been times in nyc on the subway when i catch someone looking at my ring and i get that uneasy feeling. i usually turn my ring around in a situation like that.
im sure that when we leave for the honeymoon it will be shortly after our wedding and i know im not going to want to take my rings off and i look forward to taking those honeymoon ring pics but at the same time i would DIE if something happened to my real rings!
i know theyre insured and everything but its not the same to have them replaced. the replacement wont hold the same sentimental value to me bc it wouldnt be the ring that we were married with.. OBVIOUSLY im torn LOL

I think that I would want to get a fake ring esp. for the honeymoon. I mean you hear of so many newlyweds being robbed out of country it's just scary and I especially wouldn't wear my real ring in the water and I def. wouldn't take it off and leave it in the hotel room and then go out even if it were in a safe.

i'm torn on this too. my mom has both a fake ering and band that she takes with her on vacation - she said i should do the same. i might just get a 2nd plain wedding band to wear. i want diamonds in my everyday band.
