I bought a fake ering for my bachlorette party in the bahamas and a fake wedding band for my HM. I was afraid of losing it and/or something happening.

I am thinking about it. I wouldn't want to wear it on the beach and I don't know if I trust leaving it in the room.

FH got me a replica of my ering when he proposed. He did not want to bring the real thing with him to mexico b/c he was deathly afraid of theft or me losing it. I actually do wear my replica when I work out, when my real ring is being 'serviced' and plan on wearing it on Vaca. It was the best thing he ever did, and the smartest.
Now that was a smart idea. We got engaged in Donminican Republic and since I didnt know EVERYONE else was freaking out like what if it gets lost or something.
My bestfriend was afraid that they would search his stuff through security and pull it out onfron of me haha magine that??

We bought cheap rings on ebay. Thank god we did b/c DH lost his in the ocean. Between wearing sun tan lotion and not used to wearing it, it slipped right off.
FYI- While were were on our HM (Sandals), another couple told us that the cleaning ppl left the main keys in the door of their room and the door wide open. They said it had tons of keys on the ring. Unfortunately, they were robbed (safe was broken into).
Just be careful, even though there are safes in the room, they can be broken into also.
