I've been trying to come up with a very unique way for the place cards...
Here is what I was thinking but I am having SO much trouble finding it....
I wanted to get a bare tree (without leaves)Basically just some big branches...When I went to Michaels yesterday they had wooden leaves that you can paint (the wooden leaves would be hanging from the branches that guest can take home with there name and table number)
Who likes this idea?? And can anyone help me find this darn tree????

Re: Fall Brides
You might be able to find fall items at Patchogue Floral Fantasyland. Also search Jean M on the computer. They have fall wedding items also. Any other questions please let me know.

Re: Fall Brides
I think it's a great idea. Check with your florist or even pick up branches yourself...
The only reason why we didn't go with this idea is someone pointed out to me that it might be kind of hectic with people digging through tree branches to find their names...where as if it was on a table they'd be in alphabetical order. Just something to consider. I have heard of it being done successfully too....we just figured knowing our families...

Re: Fall Brides
Yes this is great. I would check out the theme forum too. There's a gal named enjft that has a bunch of pictures for fall brides. One of them shows branches with leaves for place holders.
Hope this help.

my mom and i were thinking of something similar....and having a hard time finding a tree in craft stores....she suggested we just prune the one in front of the house...lol seriously tho i think you should be able to find it at like a garden center...i know theres one in queens on francis lewis blvd they usually sell stuff you can use for crafts and wreaths and stuff maybe youll find it there

Re: Fall Brides
does it have to be a tree or can you just ask your florist to put those big beautiful branches in a tall vase...something like these first 2 pictures but where there are votives hanging - you would hang your leaf placecards.
I was going to do this at my wedding but was worried about people knocking the tree over when pulling the leaves off, or if there was anyone old or short not being able to reach them, or just the confusion of people trying to find THEIR leaf on the tree (you have 100 leaves you can't really put them in alpha order or anything) so I did the leaves in a box with grass as if they had fallen off the tree I then just had the tree with candles around it as a decoration. FM me if you want more info

Re: Fall Brides
I was at a wedding where the place cards were on little tags hanging from a tree and I just have to be honest....the guests were all going crazy trying to find their placecard! On a table they put them out alphabetically...even if you try to do that on the tree they are just in random spots and it's sometimes hard for people to find theirs...just FYI.
