Fall favors!!

Ladies I need ideas!! With the fall time wedding I would love to have a favor that works with the time of year. We're having a low budget wedding and im having a VERY hard time picking favors that cost more than $2/piece.
I originally fell in love with the candy apple idea, then when I started seeing how much places generally charge it became ridiculous. Then one of my BMs said how about we make them?! Which seemed great until I realized that's WAY too much work that needs to be done right before the wedding (to keep them fresh) and no one I know has a fridge rotor large enough to house them for a couple days. (I would really love to go through with this idea if anyone has any recommendations!)
Then I thought about tiny apple cider bottles. And then I found apple cider scented homemade candles EXTREMELY affordable and I ordered a few and they're too small.
I really want something that won't go to waste as a favor either. I know there's so much time to make a decision but I'm worried with how hard it is already that I will run out of time before I decide. I don't want to do donations either, and I thought about the photo booth favor ideas but I'm not crazy about it.
Any ideas?!

Crashing ....

I'm doing caramel apples for my fall wedding and they are not super expensive. I'm ordering from Daffy Apple and having them arrive a few days before and then just packaging them in cellophane with a gift tag. Works out to under $2 each and not too time consuming. Will let you know how it works out!

I keep looking at daffy apple!! But they don't have their prices listed. I'm glad you mentioned this!
