Re: fall foliage/ apple picking-- need reccomendations

the East end of Long Island is so beautiful.....why don't you go out there? You could go pumpkin picking, wine tasting, sometimes they have street fairs, you could pick apples, etc.

I love it!

Re: fall foliage/ apple picking-- need reccomendations

We're going to Pennings Farm Market this Sat. It is located in Warwick, NY. I've never been but the website seems like it's a huge place to go to. Stuff for kids to do- apple & pumpkin season, fresh baked goods, garden center, etc.

Re: fall foliage/ apple picking-- need reccomendations

We are going upstate to Masker's Orchards this Sunday (with 10 car loads of people!!! )

It is in Warwick & the drive through tuxedo & greenwood lake is really nice...lots of fall foliage in different stages so you can see reds, yellows, oranges & even still some pale greens all in the same trip.

Lemme get the info for you.

Maskers Orchards

It is good b/c they have about 10 varieties of apples & you can drive right up to the trees (especially if you have 4WD, then you can drive in all parts of the orchards) They charge per bag as you leave... I think last year it was $15 for a 5 lb bag.
