I have to say I am SO glad FH doesn't do this. It takes up so much time! I don't know how they do it. Luckily FH thinks it's too time consuming too, and would rather just scream at the tv on Sundays and do the Jets chant 600 x. That I can deal with, and I like watching with him too. But keeping up with stats and injuries and trades and all that? No thanks. But you're definitely not alone!!

Do you guys watch the League, on FX? It's a pretty hilarious way to look at husbands and fantasy football.

Ummm... I feel your pain. He had four back to back nights of drafts this week and does the 'free' ones on espn in between. Then he'll call me to let me know how it all went (as if I care). Once the season starts, he has all of his leagues up on the computer and whenever something happens, he'll run to the computer to check the scores.

I think baseball is worse though since there are games every day...lol

lol, you are funny! FH is a football and baseball fantasy guy but only does 1 group per sport. He and I are involved in a College Football pool (not fantasy, fun low cost bets against spreads) and love the competition with each other.

FH and I were both up last night drafting our teams! Luckily I like football, otherwise I'm sure the winters would feel very long!

I don't think they do this in Canada lol

I can see this becoming something he will want to do once he moves here .. but if he doesn't already know about it, I won't tell - hopefully it will take a while for him to learn about it!

Re: Fantasy FH's

Thankfully this summer he dropped some of his Fantasy baseball leagues cause it was a busy summer, last year he almost cried when he couldnt check his teams EVERY SINGLE night lol

Dont get me wrong, love football, love our football parties but they are sooo sooo serious about it. i think he broke out in a sweat last night trying to figure out who he should pick lol

Re: Fantasy FH's

omg me! luckily he's only doing one league plus one survivor style thing (they just pick the winning teams for the week instead of drafting a fantasy team).

I like football games on sundays (I like the snacks and consequent naps event better) but I can't stand the combination of the tv on, the laptop out with him hitting refresh every 2 seconds, and the text message trash talk in between haha. and the sulking afterward if he loses. haha but I love him regardless

FH is (only) in 2 leagues ... lucky me.

I love sports, dont get me wrong but FH takes it to a whole new level of obsession! He will watch EVERY game possible on tv - HS, college, pro - it DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!

oh well i can do all the wedding planning i want and oops he's too busy to give his input

Re: Fantasy FH's

My SIL has to deal with this because my brother is obsessed!! Thankfully FH does do it for the fun and social aspect, but is not obsessed. He enjoys watching the games and stuff, but we make it fun...like having friends over for Sunday games.

However, put him in front of xbox and I could be doing naked handstands and he wouldn't notice

Guess everyone has their poison lol

I think my loverboy takes the cake on this....ladies sit down for this....

He has 4 drafts, about 5 pools and is a die hard Jets fan altogether. The winter cannot come and end soon enough. Sundays are my FUNDAYS without him :( Although I surprised him with tickets to a Jets game that me and him are going together to. (I am not a football fan at all)

I know exactly how you ladies feel!!! I'm not looking forward to becoming a 'football widow' once again. He is in 3 different fantasy leagues and is a die-hard Redskins fan! I try watching games, but I just can't get into it. Thank goodness I have this wedding to plan

Re: Fantasy FH's

I'm actually the commissioner of our league which consists of teams that are both his and my friends! It's awesome. I even send out weekly hilarious game recaps.

You don't know what you are missing and it makes fall/winter so much better. I say:
'If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!'

Mine is not obsessed with Fantasy but he is obsessed with high school football as he is a varsity football coach. I call myself a football widow from the end of August to the middle of November. However, this weekend will be the hardest because his school is playing the school I work at...big rivalry!!

Re: Fantasy FH's

with my FH it's baseball...

I am a huge baseball fan so I was very intrigued by the fantasy baseball. By year 2 with FH I was running his team. I was making moves & keeping an eye on players & stats. This past draft I asked to be apart of the draft since I do everything anyway lol. (FH is in an all guys family draft) I guess he asked & he got yelled at by his family that this is all guys & no girls invited booooo

So, long story short I still run his team & do everything for him. He takes all the credit in front of his family but I don't mind bc I know more about his team then he does It is addicting! Football isn't as bad as baseball bc football is only once a week. Baseball is EVERYDAY!!! lol

PS I just set his lineup for this weekend before coming on LIW.

I FEEL THE PAIN OF THE FH'S WITH THE NAGGING FW!!!! GIRLS GIVE THEM A BREAK! ITS SO MUCH FUN

Re: Fantasy FH's

I thought it was just me!!
It starts way before draft days, the apartment littered with magazines and note pads full of notes. Then once the season starts is computer and both televisions running on game day.

And of course I get regular updates on each and every family member or friends team... I never have any idea what he's talking about since when the insanity begins I start practice baking for Christmas.

I recommend getting an iPad or lap top, FH got an ipad this year and I've actually had access to the computer :)
