Original post by denakimou

Okay-so now I am going to vomit. A friend just e-mailed me the Farmer Almanac's prediction for winter. BAD BAD BAD. Snow beginning in February (I am getting married February 15) will COver the Northeast it says. This is just too much! I AM READY TO CALL IT ALL OFF AND JUST ELOPE.

they predicted a mild winter for 2002/2003 and it wasn't. don't go by that - it's a guidebook but not the endall and beall of the weather =)

Today on a wedding story they had a winter white wedding. It looked so beautiful. Just think it will cover all the dead trees and bushes if it does snow. It looked so peaceful and serene!

You're right! After all this planning, and waiting 29 years to find the true love of my life and marry him-there will be no storm, no snow, nor evil father in law to ruin my day!

I am getting married in February as well. I went on to the Farmers Almanac website and winter of 2004 isn't even on it yet. Where did your friend get the info, b/c I can't seem to find it!

I don't know-he e-mailed a page to me. He's a real computer geek-who knows where he found it. I erased it off my e-mailed because I got so miffed. Otherwise, I would send you a copy. But we're better off not looking!

There was an AP article on AOL's headlines today. You really can't go by this - it doesn't take a genious to predict snow for February and who'll complain if they are wrong?? no one

Don't worry about it for now and enjoy the next few months of planning

I am getting married march 13, and they said snow starting feburary and one storm after another until april so i called my FH freaking out not because of a little snow, but i worry about the limos and the flowers and everything that can go wrong because of ALOT of snow. He assured me that no matter what we will still have our day and all that matters is me and him, and he is right. He even said if we have a blizzard he'll go pick up the flowers himself! I still am going to pray for good weather, and i'm sure you will to, but try not to stress over it.

Re: Farmers alamanac- Bad Winter

I got married this past February 15th and we were supposed to get a huge snow storm Friday night into Saturday. Well although my wedding day felt like the coldest day of the year, the snow held off and didn't hit until Sunday night into Monday. Me and my new husband were snowed in on Monday but we didn't mind at all.
The bottom line, don't believe everything the farmer's almanac or the weather experts say. I was worried the night before our wedding because they said we were going to get atleast 6 inches of snow and although we ended up getting over a foot of snow it waited until Sunday night to come. Just go with the flow and hope for the best.

My MOH e-mailed me that Farmers Almanac prediction last night (I am getting married March 12) and at first I was upset but then I realized that they are probably wrong as usual and that the show will go on no matter what.

We are January 24, and at first all I did was worry about the weather. Now there is soooo much else to worry about, the weather isn't even a concern.(Except for one friend who keeps teasing me about the snowstorm bringing in two feet, I think he keeps me focused )
