Father-Daughter dance

Hi everyone!

What is the song that your going to dance to with your dad?

I've already picked out the song that I want and I ALWAYS get teary-eyed when I listen to it. Am I being too emotional or is that just normal?!?

I've picked 'I loved her first' by Heartland for our dance AND my dad just told me he'll sing it for me as well. OMG. i think i'll need waterproof mascara for that! and extra napkins bec i know BOTH of us are going to cry.

I let my dad pick--he picked the Ukulele version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow/It's A Wonderful World--though I love my dad, neither of us is particularly sentimental, so this works perfectly for us!

I am using 'You're my best friend' by Queen
Dad and I really became close when he was my softball coach for like 15 years. I think this song is appropriate.

My friend used 'I Loved Her First'... I really liked that song, think it's perfect!

There's no law that says you have to do it!

We are probably doing a combined parent dance, I'll dance with my father, he'll dance with his mother.

I think.

We may not do either. There are so many breaks in the party as it is!

We are doing I loved her First... For fathers day I made my dad a DVD of pictures of him and I to the song. There wasn't a dry eye.

My dad passed away, his brother is walking me down the aisle... but we're not close like that, so um, I don't know.

Would it be weird to dance with my mom? She pretty much raised me... I don't know!

i do not think its odd to dance with your mom. ive heard of many people doing that. i think its a sweet idea and your mom would prob love it
