Father Daughter song

So i left it up to my dad to pick the song, he really wanted something to do with the wedding.. a job.. and he hasn't been able to find a song he likes yet... Any suggestions.

I had my dad choose too and he came up with 'Unforgetable' by Nat and Natalie Cole. It was the PERFECT song and not too long. I originally wanted 'Wind Beneath My Wings' by Bett Midler but it's almost a 5 minute song so I Xed that out and gave the job to my dad. I think he did a GREAT job!

My dad is picking the song that we dance to as well (It's a surprise though) He did this with my Sister too at her wedding. He picked 'I Loved Her First' by Heartland for them. So Pretty!

Love this idea, however I already picked I loves her first.....love that song!!!

LOVEE this song , i am going to use it too.. My friend played it at his dads funeral (it was a song between his sister and their dad) the whole place was crying

This is the song that my dad picked as well. It's great that you're letting him pick - makes it much more meaningful. My dad's not a big cryer but he did cause he knew every word of this song!

My dad and I are close and I'm the first daughter and I no he is going to be sooo emotional so he picked 'my girl'. Its more upbest and fun and I love it bc hopefully it won't be super emotional!

Wow I had never heard that song, I loved her first so I just googled the lyrics and am now crying at work lol. What a great song. I might have to use it now!

Same here... I had my Dad pick and he was between 'I loved her first' and 'My little girl'- Tim McGraw, he ended up choosing i loved her first.

Our Father Daughter song has very personal meaning. It's 'All my Lovin'' by the Beatles. He would sing it to us in the bathtub as kids when he was rinsing the shampoo out of our hair and wanted us to close our eyes...

Close your eyes and I'll kiss you
tomorrow I'll miss you
And I'll send all my lovin' to you

It kind of works for a father/daughter song anyway since Dad will 'miss' me when I have been handed over to FH.

OMG I just you tubed that song (I loved her first) and I am hysterical. I would definitely use it but my dad isn't very emotional and we don't have that type of relationship so I'll probably use something slightly more upbeat and happy. I hope FH has the relationship they sing about in that song with our future daughter =]
