You should definitely use whatever song you want. I am going to use a song that my dad used to sing to me when I was little that is neither touching or wedding related--I am sure everyone at the wedding is going to be like what the F?

You Lite Up My Life by Debbie Boone. This song is means so much to me and my Dad because when I was little I used to sing it to him. He was just saying the other day about when I used to sing this song to him. He does not know that I am using this song to dance with him.

Junebride, I love that song too .. so sweet. I'm actually going to do that as a special dedication to my mom. She's been soooo great through all of this & I want something special for her too.

nylisa - you light up my life was my nannys FAVORITE song. I can't even listen to it or I cry like a baby. I REALLY wanted to use that song in memory of her (at some pt of the night) but I think I will be useless the rest of the night if I do. I wish I could

Thank you guys!! you're great!! I know that my wedding day is a huge day not only for me and FH but for my dad.. he's the first man I've ever loved and as I type this my eyes are getting watery because I know that I can't wait for him to give me away and to dance with my dad..

How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You. I choose this one for 2 reasons. I really didn't want a slow song b/c that usually has everyone crying but more importantly, my dad was in a very bad accident last year which has left him in a wheelchair so a slow song will really have people crying even more. With this song I can kind of swirl around him and you can't help but smile when you hear it.

Stop you are making me cry too...my dad and I have a really close relationship...everytime I think about the church or the dance I just break down.
I don't know if I will be able to do it.

Betty, I am not sure how I am going to get through it. I know my Dad very well and as we are dancing he is probably going to be singing it the way I used to sing it to him (during some parts of the chorus I sounded like I had a southern accent). Hearing him singing like that is probably going to make me laugh.

Im getting cheated... my dad died when I was 13... I want a father/daughter song with my dad d*mn it!
