Father of the Bride Song???

I have somewhat of a problem.. My father and I don't have the best relationship.. pretty much just maintained since i haven't totally shut him out of my life.. Him and my Mom will be walking me down the aisle because I am very close to my Mother and felt it was only right... I am having trouble finding a song for my father and I to dance to.... Since every song out there is so mushy about the father loving the daughter and giving her away and watching her grow up.. Since I don't feel that way at all about him I want kind of a general song with out letting all of the guests tha I feel this way ( for those who don't already know).. IF you have any suggestions please let me know! TIA!

honestly i think your best bet is picking an upbeat song. Ive seen a father daughter dance where the same thing, she wasnt very close to him but he was in her life. They used 'isn't she lovely' by stevie wonder, i personally think its a perfect song for your situation

ive seen and heard of this song used alot for father/daughter dances too

it is a real nice song. Even if its not used for the father/daughter dance they use it alot at weddings.

I was actually contemplating my wish and isnt she lovely to dance with my dad with. I dont want to do anything to mushy, i want to keep it up beat!

I think My Wish is a little more mushy but i am going to listen to them both and read the lyrics

My Girl by the Temptations. It's kind of up beat.

That's what I'm using. I told my dad no daddy's little girl under any circumstances (I would bawl I think), and this is what he chose instead....but we kind of have a special temptations bond thing, so it works....

I'm using daddy's little girl I think that's what it's called, it makes me cry everytime I hear it and it makes my dad cry too!!!
