Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dances - At the same time?

Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dances - At the same time?

I know that traditionally, the father/daughter and mother/son dances happen seperately but the Michael and I are thinking of doing them at the same time for two reasons:

A) Michael does not like being the center of attention (Me neither) and this would help alleviate stress.

B) We thought it would look nice for both sets to dance together.

C) Get it over quicker for more fun with friends and family!

What do you all think???

I've seen this done at weddings, and I'm thinking of doing the same thing (it's pretty common at Jewish wedding especially when it's done to Sunrise, Sunset).

It takes away some attention from the individual parent/child, but if that's exactly what you want, then it's perfect.

If my dad shows up, I will DEFINATELY be doing this.... FH hates being the center of attention.

since he's missing his mom and i'm missing my dad we're doing an in-law dance kind of thing and we're doing it at the same time

Even though both of us hate being the center of attention I would feel like I was taking away from my fathers moment and FH's mother's moment. It's very special and important to them to have this. To each there own though, do what makes you most comfotable
