I have no idea what to select for this... I've always been drawn to that song 'Butterfly Kisses' but is that over done and/or cheesy? I mean, it's all about a father and his daughter growing up.
I'm the oldest of 2 girls and the last to get married, thought that may make it more appropriate too? My dad and I for the most part have had a good relationship, there was a time it wasn't so good, but those days are long past so I don't really carry any hard feelings or anything, but I don't deny they happened either. It was all part of growing up and our relationship. He's been incredibly supportive of FH and I, he has run over at the drop of the hat when we've had any issues with our house and he was an integral part in us choosing our house too.
I was also thinking of some song from Fiddler on the Roof that my mom danced with her dad to at their wedding (keep it in the family kind of thing).

NO, Butterfly Kisses is NOTTTT CHEESEY!!! I did that!!!! ALOT of people do that or 'daddy's little girl.' 'Wind beneath my wings' is also beautiful! Do whatever YOU want to do, and who cares if its cheesey or not...if u want it, u should do it because its YOUR wedding!

If you and your dad like the song Butterfly Kisses go for it. Really this dance is for the two of you and you need to find something that works best for the two of you.
My dad and I didn't want to go a very traditional route (ie. Daddy's Little Girl) so we danced to Faith Hill's 'There You'll Be'. We thought it was a really pretty song and was very appropriate to our relationship.

My dad and I joke about using Hit the Road Jack!
I think we are going to do something by the beach boys, because he loves them and it was a staple in my house growing up!

Re: Father/daughter dance
I danced with my dad to Butterfly Kisses and I didn't really care if anyone thought it was cheesy or overdone, it was my wedding and I was doing what made me happy. That song came out after my Sweet 16 so I didn't get to use it then, so I decided to use it for my wedding. It was appropriate for us bc it's all-of-a-sudden the daughter is all grown up.
