Father/Daughter Dance...

Original post by kandm

My parents are divorced and I lived with my mom. All the songs I hear are all about 'watching you grow up' and 'how much you look like your mom now' and stuff of that nature. I don't think any song like that fits my situation. Anyone have any good ideas for songs that are appropriate for father/daughter dance w/o all of that stuff?

I'm using 'Unforgettable' by Nat King and Natalie Cole for my dance with my dad.

Another one that I liked was 'More than a woman' by the Bee-gees.

I am in a similar situation and am either using Because you Loved Me by Celine Dion or You Are The Sunshine of My Life by Stevie Wonder.

We used 'Memories' by Elvis Presley since we are both big Elvis fans.

I went with what reminded me of the good times with my dad... Bob Marley's 'Three little Birds' everyone loved it!

I am using Lullabye by Billy Joel - I love the song and the basic message is that wherever you may go, I'll never be far away...
