Father/Daughter Song help-- not close to Father

Hey Ladies,

I need some help!! I need a song to dance with my father to. Here's the deal: We are not very close. Growing up, he was always there for us financially but thats about it- my parents are both re-married now. I still feel that we should dance together but every song I listen to just doesnt fit. These songs make me cry because I wish that we had that relationship!! So, any suggestions??

I need some help with that too. I'm not close with my dad at all. I didn't even want to do the dance with him but everyone said that I should.

Wait, some might hate me for this, but where is your stepdad? Are you close to him? Why not have a half half dance with your dad and then stepdad??

That way, it wont be so awkard and it will be short. In terms of songs, that might be a little tough. Try to keep it light prehaps. Nothing too sentimental.

Thats what I was thinking of doing. My parents just got divorced when I was 20 though so its not like I am the closest with my stepdad either!!!

I have the same issue as you. My father left when I was just 6 months old. He has always been in my life, but more like as an uncle who calls on birthdays/holidays. He doesn't know anything about me, its really sad.

I am very close with my step-dad and I almost wish I could just dance with him, but I couldn't do that to my biological father...I'd feel too guilty.

Hey,

Something I did with my dad and step dad, was to ask THEM to pick the song. Not only does this give me one less thing to do but it also takes the pressure off when choosing a song for my dad...who isn't an emotional person to say the least.

I, too, need help with this but the only thing it's for my stepdad and I'm looking for a spanish song instead of english. My stepdad has been around for 10yrs. Does anyone know of any spanish songs that will go well for us? I'm on a serious mission trying to find a song and not luck
